What music genre is this?

Featured Replies

I heard some music being played, best way I can describe it is that it's lsd but music. It was trippy but strangely addicting, and it made me want to think about stuff. My first guess was 'trance' but I listened to a few songs and none sounded similar.

It had no lyrics, it was kinda techno - I'll check out psychedelic trance.

Sounds like Goa.

Yeah seconding psy trance or Goa.

thirded psy trance :P

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

Might be psybient.

A mix between Electic and Techno with some Speed metal perhaps?

I would like to hear the song, could you possibly post a link to it on Youtube?

I tried goa psytrance and psybient, goa is the closest so far but it is much slower. Sort of a cross between goa and psybient. It's slower than goa with more effects that kind of come in waves and intertwine with each other.

It wasn't a song I found on youtube, just some dj at a park. I wish I had asked him what it was.

How close is this?

(You really get the full effect of Shpongle when you listen to the album's tracks consecutively, without pause.)

Or this?

Psybient is essentially just the "chill" parts in Goa trance. It comes and goes in waves, with varying tempos, and it's pretty much the epitome of modern-day "LSD music."
