If a new hegemony ever needs arising I believe everyone should start out equal, then you can accuratly measure the best hegemony person and its more fun to choose a country based on its culture rather then the fact its rich.

Anyway, I think Dusty kinda pwns hegemony, picking Greece and now being the 4th richest country, but I suppose Greece is next to some prime areas. Anywho, I do vote next Hegemony game everyone starts out the same, and as I think Archi should play next Hegemony and someone else mod, cause thats fair on Archi :P. Though the next one probably wont be around til end of 2010.

Yes, Dusty does pwn hegemony, i've noticed that he never researches anything even remotely powerful though.

I dislike the aid system "Do this thing and both countrys get money...." shouldn't it just be, you can gradually aid a country but you lose money for it.

Hegemony isn't dead. The activity level on the thread is down because Archi hasn't posted any updates, thus there is nothing for us to really discuss on the thread.

 

However, the end of the decade is approaching, and Archi is back (just hasn't posted an update), so there will definitely be some activity, especially on the last day of the decade where people post their expenses.

You'll find that that's also game breaking and I believe you weren't allowed to do that. I had a 20% growth rate and 40x more planets then you.

 

And yet you did, and somehow since your people had all disappeared into it, they were also still manning the defenses of the planet, crammed side by side in crates, and making robot babies. Right.

Population was irrelevant at that time. As far as I was concerned, the factories making the people would have been put to better use manufacturing MOAR DEFENSES, but they were still making population because that was what the system demanded.

 

Abuse of the system, however, is pretty cool. Admittedly, if anybody started complaining about it, I probably would have been owned by random events, but nobody seemed to care that I had a totally overpowered race.

 

The defenses manned themselves.
