Well, I got 60 defense, and I certainly don't have enough money yet to get any dragon chest protection, since the cheapest (chainbody) is 14m. I would like to know some of the best platebodys/other chest protection items that only require 60 defense or lower, have better stats than rune platebody, and costs less than 5m. I hope you guys know of some! And if there aren't really any, then please suggest what level and item I should get. I would stick with rune until 70 defence, then buy barrows. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Multiple threads and posts have been made describing it's horrible inefficiency. Unless you thoroughly enjoy playing BA, consider the following: -what's wrong with a rune plate? They are a great piece of armour and their effectiveness shouldn't be neglected. The next closest thing in terms of cost would be a granite body, but those things protect marginally more, but weigh like 2x more and cost 3x more. -at 70 defence, Barrows is about as good as it gets in terms of a cost vs defence rating. There are few chest plates out there that protect more than a good ol Torag plate and most of them cost many times more Do you also need replacements for your other armour? Yes, I am planning to sell my rune gold, but dragon platelegs, get the one helm from the Freminik Isles Quest (whatever it is, I forget name), and then platebody, shield, and weapon have me stumped. Granite shield for fighting against ranged creatures and a blessed spirit shield for tanking purposes, and weapon Whip. What is your attack level?me stumped. So far are they good choices, though? Thanks for all of your guy's help already! br3tt0wnzFor the legs do the same as the chest, stick with rune until 70 at which point you should upgrade to barrows (Either Torag's Legs for pure defense or Verac's Skirt for respectable defense with a good prayer bonus). The best shield for power training is the rune defender which you should get, an obby shield or a Blessed Spirit Shield (If/once you get the stats) for more defense. Whips are too high levels for now, so weapon I am not sure, maybe I'll do Monkey Madness and get d scimitar. I am going to get dragon platelegs, and the helm of nietiznot if I can do the quest. I will stick with rune platebody till 70, because granite does not give huge bonuses, and is quite heavy, then probably get torag's platebody at 70. If anyone has another suggestions for a weapon besides whips and d scims, then that's the only thing left then! DO NOT get Dragon Legs, get Rune instead, much cheaper, and the defence gained from Dragon doesn't justify the price increase.
