Mozilla Firefox typeing issue

This problem is a little hard to describe and happens to me on my own (recently installed firefox) and also whenever i use it in a internet cafe as well. Oh, and if you don't really know what i'm talking about feel free to ask me about what you don't understand in my explenation of the problem.

Well to start off i'm typeing this message while using internet explorer because of the issues i keep getting with firefox typeing. This problem i get is the following: Quite often when i open up firefox and go type a webpage in the little line that shows where you are typeing moves differently than usual. Usually you type a leter and the little blinking line moves together with the letters, and keeds ahead of them right? But with firefox it happens to me that two letters the line does this, and then i type another letter, the line stays and suddenly is ahead of the two first letters but behind the last one. To give an example, take www for instance. 3 letters. i type a w and it looks like this: w|. I then type another w and it looks like this: ww|. After that comes the third w and it looks like this: ww|w. The pattern at which this happens seems to be randomly happening from 2 to 5 letters. Here is an example of what i got when i tried to write http://www.tip.it/runescap (i know there is a e missing, and i don't know why, mabye firefox even ignored it who knows?).

Now don't think i wrote this right away without doing any looking on the mozilla firefox website. I searched in a variety of categories and also skimmed through the firefox help text but i found nothing. So i am asking any expirienced firefox user to help me with this, i will be very greatful :)

This has nothing to do with RS, it is a issue only of firefox.

The Firefox cursor code is influenced by the fact that you're running something that sucks 100% cpu. Meaning, something is keeping your computer's processor very busy, and as a result the cursor doesn't work well anymore. This could be runescape or any other program or script (such as the mentioned special text editor (I'm assuming this is a kind of rich text edit control). You can try to see if it is fixed in firefox 1.5, you can get a better computer (with a better processor, so it doesn't hit 100% when you're using Runescape or something else that might use a lot of processing power) or you can try using another browser such as Opera. I'd suggest Opera over IE seeing as Opera is still a lot more standards-compliant than IE, and has tabbed browsing and more of the features you've grown used to when using Firefox.

This happens when i am using firefox and browsing any type of site. And as i told you this does not only happen on my old 1.6 ghz processor but also in an iternet cafe where the processors are 3 ghz. And as i said i have to type these posts with IE ( i might get opera or maxton, instead of it though), beacuse the typing problem happens with firefox. Guh, how clearer can i get... Please keep in mind that this is a FIREFOX issue i have, not a runescape one, since it happens when i'm not playing runescape. And when i'm playing runescape and typeing into the chatbox there is absoloutely no problem because that window is running on JAVA. And about the 100% processor power, um well, runescape higher lvl needs 500 mhz to run, so that is less than 33% of my processor. And if you wanna know my RAM is 512, internet speed 512 kb/s, even though this does not have any connection with the firefox issue.

Fix: Don't use Runescape in Firefox.

FORGET RUNESCAPE ALREADY! This issue happens whenever i am browsing any type of site. It happens randomly. And has nothing to do with runescape. GET THE POINT?

You sure its not user error or something?

It never happens to me, and probably millions of other Firefox users, yet it happens for you at the Internet Cafe and you home PC (I'm not trying to offend you if it sounds like that).

Are you accidently hitting the arrows in your typing posture or something like that?

If you actually read my post, you would have seen the suggestions I gave and the explanation about what's going on. This is the explanation taken right from the bugzilla bug database for firefox and other mozilla products, and as said, it could be anything that's using up your cpu power, not just runescape. Try using task manager when this happens, to see if anything's eating CPU.

In the meantime, insulting people who are trying to help doesn't help you.
