  1. Sorry if this has been posted before, I did a quick search and found nothing. Full article here: http://www.dailybulletin.com/ci_3430815 Another discussion about this on another forum: http://www.cad-forums.com/showthread.php?t=51576 I personally think this is ridiculous. More than a literal ton(US version) of drugs being taken into the US across the US/Mexico border by Humvees armed with machine guns. Comments? Read the article, or be like most slashdot readers and don't "rtfa" and just go by the summary
  2. I've got a Dell 2400 that I use for almost everything. Family got it in either 2002,2003, or very early 2004, not sure. Only had to format once(summer 2005). I've upgraded it from 256MB of RAM to 768MB, and upgraded from Intel integrated crap to a PCI Geforce FX 5500 w/ 256MB RAM with the stuff I got for Christmas(didn't mess with the processor, a 2.4GHZ Pentium 4). When I went to put the RAM and graphics card in, I was pissed off because I saw a spot where I believe an AGP slot could've been put(See a pic of the mobo on a Dell 2400 here and decide for yourself). It wouldn't matter much though, as Dell's online documentation says that the 2400 only has a 200 or 250 watt power supply(see here for more info) which is well below many decent AGP card power supply minimums. I don't recall ever calling Dell for support, so I couldn't tell you about that(bet it's outsourced too, just so they could save some cash and screw their customers). Sorry if my post doesn't seem organized, it's just little rantings and descriptions of a Dell product I've got. For those who hate Dell, try http://www.ihatedell.net/
  3. I'll try to help with my limited computer knowledge Assuming you are trying to upload images, Where are you trying to upload at? You say you're using Windows ME? I know it might not be relevant, but my dad's computer that is running ME can save in .bmp, .dib, .jpg, and .jpeg from paint. If you're using a decent uploading site like imageshack, you should be able to upload .jpg/.jpeg files. Another thing that works for me on the ME is changing the file name extension from .bmp or .jpg to .png(If you are going to attempt this, make sure to make a backup of the original image incase it doesn't work for you) I'm not understanding what you are saying here, sorry Hmm, 768mb of ram and you say you're lagging? Puzzling... I don't know if it would be relevant or not, but kind of processor do you have and what is its speed? I've encountered this problem before while playing RS in Firefox and typing in another tab. I don't know if it'll work or not, but try playing on low detail. Sorry for the long post lol.
  4. IE Tab extension is here Good luck with Firefox topic starter. :D I personally use Firefox because of its increased safety(especially with the noscript extension), better built in pop-up blocker, ease of customizability(extensions, themes, user.js file, userContent.css file, userChrome.css file, etc.), and its tabbed browsing. And if you need to use Internet Explorer for something, use the IE tab extension I linked to above and open IE in a Firefox tab :)
  5. Kind of reminds me of multiplayer FPS games on XBConnect and Xlink :P
  6. Got Fx 1.5 last night around 10:30 (-5 hours GMT, eastern time zone, I think.) It wouldn't let me install extensions or updates though, but I searched through bugzilla and found a similar problem that helped me out. I had software installation turned off in 1.0.7 when I installed 1.5, so I believe this is what caused the bug. If anyone now has 1.5 and can't install extensions, and it keeps telling you to edit options, but you can't change it in the options, I have something that may help. This is what I did: Opened up a new tab Typed about:config in the address bar Scrolled down and set xpinstall.enabled to true And then it worked :) Might not work for you, but give it a try maybe if you're having a similar problem to the one I had.
  7. IF things haven't changed since I last ran ess for laws: Ok, first, you need to be a member(pay to play or p2p). If you are, then keep reading. What you do is, first go to world 66, then get 27 rune essence in your inventory(26 if you're fally teleporting). Now, with the 27 ess, go to the entrana law altar and wait outside if you don't have a law tally/tiara(if you do, go inside the law altar). Now, trade with the people in bright red robes(zamorak robes I believe). Offer all 27 essence, and they should offer 27 laws and 27 noted essence back for your 27 ess. Go through with the trade, then head back to a bank(Draynor banking is the fastest method for me). Deposit(or put in) the laws and essence in your bank. Now, withdraw 27 unnoted essence, and repeat until desired amount of law runes has been reached.
  8. Heh.... That was somewhat random. Though I get the feeling I've seen that somewhere else before :?
  9. This had me as scared as hell, until near the bottom of that news article I read that Mozilla will soon provide a "1.0.4" patch. Knowing I have the 1.0.7 version gave me a sigh of relief. For those too lazy to click links, This exploit affects: Firefox 1.0.3, Mozilla Suite 1.7.7 Fixed in: Firefox 1.0.4, Mozilla Suite 1.7.8 Source of this info: http://www.mozilla.org/security/announc ... 05-42.html
  10. Hmm, that happened to me alot too when I tried to beat Halo and Halo 2 in single player. I paused the game during a level with a ton of flood on it(I'm thinking maybe the library level in Halo?) to go to the bathroom, and my hands were shaking really bad.

    Memory?

Farthest I can remember back I think is.... Me playing Deer Hunter on a computer, it was either Windows 95 or 98, I can't remember. I think I was somewhere in the 5-8 years old range at that time.
  12. Ah, ctrl alt del, my favorite online comic series :D Good to see others here also read it :P
  13. Not the first one. gmail.com I'll give you an invite if you want. edit: mistake on my part, only above 1000mb, not gb
  14. Don't quote me on this, because I haven't checked, but I think Opera would have little to no extensions or themes because from what I've heard it isn't open source. Firefox, well err, yeah obviously has a ton of both extensions and themes. And it has a ton of customizations possible too :D. Some of my favorites are ad-blocking and pipelining. So I've chosen it instead. I only tried opera for maybe an hour then uninstalled, I dunno, just didn't like the look of it I guess. Maybe someday I'll give it a fair chance heheh. And to anyone who voted IE pwns both, just keep on using the browser from M$, see if I care. At least try Firefox or Opera, *places super-cute animal infront of you* Please?
