anonymous_user
Hello. I've recently noticed that the 'last known as' cursor-hover thing seems to be permanent as it's still by people on my friends list who changed their names a long time ago. Can it be gotten rid of if you change back to the previous name or your original name? It's just that it really annoys me since people can see a previous name if they add me and I'd rather not show that I used to have a bad name or whatever. It changes I think after the 28 days you have it, I THINK, but i know for a fact it changes, I just dont know how long.
Cptbaker08
No it doesn't change. If you ever change your name it will have that to remind you of who that player was last known as. Aeon_
I think if they hadn't added you before you changed your name, then it just says your current. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
thunderlord
You can just type your name again in the name changing screen. example: I see your name is pirate pete, if you go to the name changing thing, and you click change name and type pirate pete, your name will be pirate pete and last known as pirate pete

I have friends with new names longer then 28 days and they still have the "Last known as" symbol there. Darkvengence
Yes it does go away. I have had several friends ask me why mine was gone, last time I changed my name was over 30 days ago.
Kersei
There are definitely situations where the icon stays for longer than 30 days, maybe you need to have been on their friend's list for 30 days.

Bassy
It does go away, just after a certain amount of time. I changed my name and then changed it back, and it was around 28 days after I changed back to the original name that the little symbol went away. I think it'll be a longer period if you intend to keep your changed name. Click Here for a Common Sense Dungeoneering Guide
Blaire
Question! Say if you obtained members for a month, changed your display name, then ran out of members; would you still have the customized display name in F2P?
