K4ylan
Yes, remember it increases the chance of getting rare drops. RARE. That means they are already hard to get, this just makes it easier. You still need patience, whether or not you use a ring of wealth. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
Rjk
Yeah I think it works, before Kuradal's dungeon I was getting whips and bows pretty much every task using wealth. Now I use the new fero ring and haven't had one since the update.
Imxset
When doing slayer or any type of combat, as long as I don't need some other type of ring, it doesn't hurt to wear ring of wealth anyways :)

Ryhzuo
Ring of Wealth definitely works, it's just that many people misunderstand how it works, and therefore label it as useless.I can't remember where I read this, I'll go find it later and give credit~ Imagine every time a monster is killed, a roulette is spun. Each roulette is unique to each monster, and has such labels as "GP", "Sapphire", "Nature Runes", "Rare Item". Now imagine that you've killed a Steel dragon and the roulette has landed on "Rare Item". A second, smaller Roulette is then Spun with labels like. "D-Legs" "Dragon Stone" "VIsage" "Rune Longsword". Of course these are in varying quantities, and a "Rune Longsword" will have far more slots than a "Dragon Leg". When one wears a RoW, It decreases the number of slots of say... "Rune Longsword" from 20 to 19, and adds one to "Dragon Legs" from 2 to 3, so your chances of getting D-legs over a Rune longsword is slightly increased. RoW increases not the quantity of rare drops, but the quality. ~ Or something along those lines On a different note, what other rings CAN you wear? Personally I find the bonuses of warrior/berzerker rings miniscule, and RoW is relatively cheap. I always wear one when monster hunting. ~Less QQ, Moar Pew Pew~ I don't know how anyone would have thought to make a seagull launcher out of a shirt and an accordion for Rocking Out though... That just seems too out there
NotoriousPSC
of course it works, it isn't easy to notice the difference though. SanNo1
Yes, it works. We just don't know exactly how it works yet.Actually we do know how it works, just not how much it works. Ryhzuo has explained it pretty accurately I think. There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth. Shazarabbit
I use mine all the time, it never leaves my hand. But I've begun doubting it. But it is for Rare drops, so who knows. Merre
I reached L85 slay last month... Did 8 weeks of non-stop slayer and tbh I killed over 500 iron dragons and NOT one dragon drop.Best slay drops so far were some black masks & some g mauls but I also had 5-6 assignments at wizards and didn't get a pair of d boots too...Or I'm unlucky or I just hope too much for a drop, not sure... Still I keep wearing it, I just hope now I can kill abbie demons my luck will change ;) 2016 goals: all skills +30mil xp - Completed this goal 11th December 2016 2017 goals: get at least 3 more master capes (start xp: invention done@21st Jan, mining done@2nd April & ranged 76/104mil done@June 20th) & all skills +40mil xp (done 24th August)
DemonicSushi
The ring of wealth increases the chances of getting a MORE valuable item if you do happen to land on a rare item drop circumstance... Jagex clearly explains this in an article so there is really no need for this topic because you cannot debate about a fact !!!

K4ylan
I think it just makes people feel better that they have something to blame their incredible luck on. Whenever I get a dry-streak of 10 or so clue scrolls, or no D Drops from metal dragons, I blame it on the RoW, even though it has no effect whatsoever(on clues). ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
Zaaps1
I used the Wealth for a time, and I've come to the conclusion that it is typically not worth it. For one, it increases your chances by such a small window that you most likely will not notice it unless you kills thousands or tens of thousands of a monster. Secondly, if you wore something like a Warrior (i), Berserker(i), Ferocious Ring, etc., you could most likely make up for your slight decrease in drops by faster kills. In fact, you might get kills fast enough to compensate. Furthermore, remember that time is money. The less time you spend killing, the more time you can spend making money. Between faster kills and time saved, I'd say the other rings are far better than the Wealth. ~It's Super Effective! Unless you're talking about the Ferocious Ring, which adds 5 additional damage to every hit, the accuracy and strength bonuses seem far too minuscule (both in absolute and percentage terms) to add any measurable degree of speed to your kills. Instead of concerning yourself over a ring that could cost you millions in gold, I'd rather spend that money on a better quality weapon, shield, or piece of armor. Personally, my most valuable monster drops have come from LS situations or when I'm not wearing the ROW. However, that's only my personal record so far, and it doesn't stop me from wearing one under most circumstances.

The items give a small boost, to be sure, but it's noticeable over the long run while the wealth really isn't. I mean, over a few hundred monsters you'd be talking about 1 or 2 extra rune items, imo, maybe an extra big drop such as a whip IF you're lucky. ~It's Super Effective! Tact
Well, that shows how much slayer I do. >_> The thing is, no one really knows how much of an effect the ROW has on a drop table, since Jagex isn't willing to share that information. However an extra rune drop over several hundred kills is still a very small proportion of your total earnings, particularly since there are items worth much more than a rune full helm. Who's to say that the ROW would have instead replaced one of your rune drops with a whip or a granite maul? Ultimately it comes down to luck, or rather, chance. Personally I can think of better uses of your money and time than buying a ring which may add 1 or 2 to your max hit. That's not efficiency, but rather, being nitpicky. ;)
