When do Santa Hats drop in price?

Featured Replies

Thinking about buying 10 or so santa hats but when do they hit an absolute low in price so I can buy some?

Probably never or not any time soon. There is less santa's in the game every day which raises prices and also inflation increases prices. But if you buy them you're basically guarenteed to make profit anyways because theyre always going up. (usually). --------> im not an expert though

Once you buy a rare, in this case a Santa, you guaranteed to make profit, as mentioned, there are less everyday, rather due to accidentally losing, or quitting, so they're always rising in price

Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! It's been fun.

There are no 'set times' when santas drop. They do tend to crash just before the Christmas season. But with the amount of GP in the hands of newbie merchants these days that crash was quickly swallowed up. Even though rares tend to increase over time, there are times where they drop slightly. So if you are looking for a long term merch they are very low risk. If you are looking for short term then I don't see them falling drasticly soon. Although, if jagex starts 2010 off with a bang and releases something that requires money (toll dungeon, new skill, etc) then they could fall. Inflation seems to have hit it's peak now and items aren't on the rise as much as they used to be so I doubt santas will rise as quick as you see on the charts from the last 180 days. My thoughts are that they'll stay fairly stable between 30M and 35M.

more people due tend to sell them a few months after christmas ends, so that MIGHT be an ideal time. otherwise, yeah they continue to increase in value over time

You are not guaranteed to make a profit form a rare, they drop in price ALL THE TIME; just a few months ago I remember santa's being around 12-15m and months before that they were 20m; repeat.

If you plan on making a profit from Santas then I suggest to watch the GE and wait until you see a noticeable drop over the course of a few days ("a drop/dump").
