The client is safe. Scan it if you must . Also I dont think the post count is relevant, every account needs to start somewhere

I know that, but most of the times people that have just joined and post links can't be trusted ;)

First time users don;t just post random links to clients that break the rules anyways.

Plus, it is so easy to hide malicious coding inside these clients and most AV don;t detect them anyway.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

I loled at this comment. Anyways i played rs 5+ years. And got into programming so we decided to have fun making a client from the game we enjoyed. Id say to scan it but even then you guys dont trust us. :(

Lol if your client is good, you won't need to advertise.

2. What type of third-party software is NOT allowed?

This includes, but is not limited to the following third-party software:

1. Software that attempts to communicate directly with our game worlds.

2. Software that monitors, modifies or decrypts the communications between our game applets and our game worlds.

3. Software that generates input to our game applets. This includes software that automatically moves the mouse pointer or generates mouse clicks or key presses.

4. Modified or replacement versions of our game applets. Reverse-engineering our game applets is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of our game applets is not permitted for any reason.\

SO yeah

Perhaps you could post the source here or send to an admin or me. :) so that it can be verified as legal.

Lol, I still see no advantage it would have over SwiftKit except for the fact it's potentially a malicious program.

We don;t trust you since you are A. New here, B. low post count C. posting links to a modified runescape applet which may or may not be legal to use to play on and D. you won't prove its safe.

Yay mods being slow

They arent being slow , they know theres no reason to take the thread off since we are just trying to make runescape more enjoyable by adding

content that isnt on the original runescape client.

  • Author

Its currently only version 1.0, its in beta.

We are working on other interesting features but for that it be nice to have suggestions.

Anyone got some ideas they would like us to add?

There are 2 too many things that need to be changed to make this program fit within Jagex' standards.

First and foremost, take it out of the JFrame. That is the sure-fire way to get your account banned, because you are now in the land of modified clients, which happened to not be cool. Instead, have the client built around a web browser that loads up the Runescape main page each time it is opened.

Secondly, take away the auto-selecting worlds option. There was a big fiasco about this with swiftswitch, so don't even try it.

Thanks, and good luck with your thingy.

Thank you for the suggestions. Also

we didnt modifie the client we just added class files

I can't tell whether your client contains any malicious bugs in it or not, but either way it doesn't fit within Jagex's Rules for third party software and therefore it shouldn't be discussed on tip.it. If you do manage to get it approved by Jagex so that it fits within their terms then feel free to repost a link to your client in the advertising sticky.

For now though I am going to lock this. If you have any problems feel free to PM me.
