Roflcopters
So, I was browsing the RuneScape Forums. I saw people were using Broodoo shields and Obsidian Capes as junk. Some topics said they would only accept, "stable junk." So what's stable junk? Why are Broodoo shields and Obsidian Capes used as junk? I'm getting a Pirate Hook and I have a few mint cakes. That's why I'm looking into this stuff. Should I be getting 99 Fletching doing Maples to make enough junk? 99 Cooking achieved Sunday, September 13th, 2009.99 Woodcutting achieved Friday, December 11th, 2009.All skills above 50, July 25th, 2008.All quests completed as of March 23rd, 2009. shawn3090
Obsidian capes are junk because they are crashing. Stable junk consists of items that are: 1) Useless, like many unstrung bows. They are byproducts of fletching, and have prices in the GE. The prices do not change, so they are "stable" junk. 2) Items whose GE price is much higher than the their actual value. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but these will usually be transferred in junk trades. Unstable junk is made of items that, like the obsidian cape, are rapidly losing their value, and the Grand Exchange is not keeping up with them. [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy. J35u5_M4
Stable junk, are items that are well, stable on the GE, meaning that they don't drop/rise a lot every day. Obby Capes/Broodoo Shields are probably being used as junk because clans just dumped them in GE, making them drop heavily each day But, now that I look at the graphics, I have no idea why the broodoo shields aren't wanted by people, they look stable to me. Even though their graph looks like a stairs
Roflcopters
Thanks Shawn and Jesus. For the second question, I'm getting a hook and I've got 3 mints. Should I start making junk? Gandalf14141
Thanks Shawn and Jesus. For the second question, I'm getting a hook and I've got 3 mints. Should I start making junk? Using Fletching? I heard you should only make junk if you can make it faster than cash Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! Vulxai
Don't make junk, you're better off just making money. The only reason you should do junk trading is if you happen to have the junk already from leveling and doing your everyday 'scaping. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Troacctid
You're buying a pirate hook, right? They're underpriced on the GE, aren't they? So you don't need to make junk--the person you buy it from will sell you junk along with it. Use that. qeltar
Deliberately working to manufacture junk is like refusing a salary raise because you don't want to pay more taxes. In both cases, the person is really missing the point. Roflcopters
I'm not buying a hook, I'm working for it. 99 Cooking achieved Sunday, September 13th, 2009.99 Woodcutting achieved Friday, December 11th, 2009.All skills above 50, July 25th, 2008.All quests completed as of March 23rd, 2009. Troacctid
I'm not buying a hook, I'm working for it.Then you won't be able to sell it for its true value. The whole point of selling things in junk trades is to get rid of junk. You have no junk, so you have no reason to want to do a junk trade, unless there's something you want to buy with junk. If there is, buy it and use the junk you get to sell your stuff. If there isn't, just wait for the GE prices to go up. I don't know of any methods of creating junk faster than creating actual money; I don't think there are any.
