Archer is a new animated TV show on FX created by Adam Reed, who is known for working on shows such as Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021. The main character, Archer, is also voiced by H. Jon Benjamin who is most noted for his role as Coach McGuirk in Home Movies.

"Set at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), suave master spy Sterling Archer deals with global espionage, a domineering mother/boss, his agent ex-girlfriend, and a less-than-masculine code name - "Duchess".[6]"

The show also has an art style which closly mimics the one Frisky Dingo uses and, to be honest, I love it. At any rate I saw the premiere 2 episodes a few nights ago and was very impressed. It has the same sort of humor that sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo had, which is awesome because Frisky Dingo is one of my favorite animated series. Personally I'm really glad to see Adam Reed get some work on a large network like FX, he's a really funny guy and Jon Benjamin is a perfect voice for Archer.

Did anyone else manage to catch this? If so what did you think? It shows on FX Thursday nights at 10 (EST I believe).

I saw it pop up on the torrent sites but I had no idea what it was. From the name "Archer" I assumed it was about Robin Hood and decided not to check it out (I dislike the way Robin Hood is portrayed in all modern forms [steal from the rich, give to the poor]).

However this actually looks interesting. Never watched Frisky Dingo or Sealab but I think I know what they are.

You should definitely check it out. (and check out Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo too while you're at it :P).

I watched the two premiere episodes. The first one was meh, but the second one was pretty funny.

Thought they were both great. It had some very slow and boring parts, but it had some genuinely funny moments, can't wait to see more!

I didn't watch its debut, but I'll be sure to catch the on-demand release. It looked hilarious!

I caught part of an episode tonight, I thought it was pretty funny for what I saw. I may actually end up following Archer for a class assignment, so I'm kinda excited because I was a fan of sealab 2021.

Guess I should watch it.

What channel is FX on DirecTV, anybody know?

The commercials were more than enough to repel me from that show for the rest of my existence.

That isn't a legal site to watch it, plus they want you to disable adblock plus which is pretty dubious, I would be careful about that site.

I honestly doubt that Archer with be huge for the industry, its not the first time this time this type of show has come around.

Tonight's episode was pretty funny. I think I laughed more at tonight's then the last two.

It's on right now. A lot of the humor is sort of fast-paced and ridiculous and based in conversation, it reminds me of Home Movies.

I like the show, though.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Alright so I finially got around to watching an episode or 2. Pretty good

Not funny enough for me to make a thing out of it, but if it's on I'll definietly stay tuned. It definitly had its good moments, but unfortunatly the majority of the best jokes were in the teaser commercials I saw. Although I lol'd pretty hard at the cream filled doughnut bit. And the method in which Archer handled the Mexican stand off. Good show, overall. Not amazing, but certainly enjoyable.
