K4ylan
Does anyone have a cheap method to go from 55 to 70 Smithing? Please don't suggest smithing bars, because that takes forever. I'm willing to lose some money, maybe 3M at most. I would appreciate if I lost less money though. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
atronic92
I did half-and-half cannonballs and unfinished mithril bolts. It's not too slow and I made a lot of money. It's also really easy to afk both tasks. You can adjust the ratio of each method for faster experience or more money. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Keep in mind, cballing is slower than smelting bars. I usually go with bolts, as those don't lose a whole lot. Right now I'm actually mining the gold that I smelt. That's another option if you'd want. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Epic
If you're a member, I would suggest just making cannonballs until level 60, then spending the rest of your money to make the best items you can at the Blast Furnace. This is probably the fastest method, if you do it right. Good luck. If you want to know who I am, then just ask. Umoria
Cannonballs and unfinished mith bolts won't loose you money. But the making of cannonballs is slow.So it's a task you can do while doing something else, like chatting with friends on msn. The cheapest option (and slowest) there is, is mining gold, and make them into bars with the smithing gauntlets after Family crest. You need a whole lot of ores though. So you can mine some, and buy ores, sell bars, buy new ores from it, and top it off with mining your own. "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture." JoeDaStudd
Making steel plates with SC hammers should put you at about 65 with 3m in supplies. You'll get 1/5 of this back though.Another 3m will put you at 70.You lose about 5m in total, but its a lot lot quicker (I got 54 to 63 using this method in under 1 hour) then making anything which will keep the cost under 3m. How much time did it take to get those hammers? I haven't played SC at all yet. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
JoeDaStudd
I had some points in the bank (so to speak) so it took me 1 game for 2 hammers which lasted me most of the exp there (I only remembered SC after smithing 1k of steel bars). Each game is 20 minutes in a standard world or ~15 minutes in a skilling world. It works about 4 to 5 hammers per hour. It will take about 8 to 10 hammers to complete the 55 to 70 stretch which is roughly 2 hours. They effectively half the gp/exp.
