What are finding nemo,

kids make up a large proportion of the film viewing public too, and its not exactly a bad film.

117 out of 250 I think. But this is the first time I take a closer look at the entire list and I raised my eyebrows quite often. Movies like Jaws, Alien or Toy Story might be trendsetters, but they're not worth of being in the top 150 IMO. I thought the list was about how good a film was, not how expensive or how many innovating techniques were used.

Of course Alien and Jaws should be in there. Both are very high quality movies, and added to that very influentiel. Especially Jaws, it set the standard for the modern blockbuster. Not to mention it changed the horror genre (together with THE EXORCIST). Horror was a genre that mainly was about B-movies. Jaws and The Exorcist changed that. Those things also contribute to the quality of a movie.
