D Claws in Slayer

Featured Replies

Just wondering what the use of D Claws in slayer is. I'm increasingly seeing more and more people in Kural dungeon use them? Are they generally worth it?

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

They're not really worth to buy if you just do slayer. You can just as good use an EE or dds imo. Sure you'll have better hits with claws than with dds but the cost outweights the benefits (as you only use 2 / 4 attacks every 5 minutes)

They're especially useful for speccing in Kuradal's dungeon because each hit does 4 extra damage when used with a ferocious ring.

If you're just training slayer, then no, dragon claws are not worth the price.

They're probably trying to max in Kuradal's dungeon with the ferocious ring. It adds +4 damage to every hit, so the damage can be rediculous. For a special weapon, go with EE or SGS if you want to stay longer without banking. If you want damage on a task you won't need the extra healing, just go with a DDS, the claws aren't worth the 30 million just for slayer. Not to mention, the DDS gets 4 specs, so it's potentially more damaging than D claws in total. Also, most monsters have low enough defence (along with the slayer helm/black mask bonuses) that the added D claws accuracy isn't very noticeable, if at all. Not worth the extra 30 million, unless you already have them for other reason, and only if you're in Kuradal's dungeon with the ferocious ring, the added 16 damage is the only time it's really worth it.

(Sorry for this off topic message)

Wooo @ dragon claws crashing. I didn't pay attention to the market anymore but god I was still thinking they were near the 40s :D Thank you for making my day

If you have 92+ prayer, you can soul split for just the D claw spec for a pretty sturdy healing. I don't even take a familiar or food to abby demons because of this.

Or you can use sgs special instead and get back some prayer points while soul splitting at the same time

Thats what I do too. Just sould split on your claw specs and you are good. I bring some spec restores since I have a ton ot these anyway to spec even more. I know I could save some prayer with sgs, but I like the high hits from the claws. It's fun to 2 hit abby demons.

(in stead, I take a pack yak as a familiar to bank all the herbs and tally's, which are all at least 2-3k each it seems, so it adds up)

Tbh you're not 2-hitting them, you're 8-hitting them just 2-specing them lol.

Also i know someone who used it on jad to kill the fastest kill on jad i believe. She used 2 Dclaw specs and 2 SGS specs on him. It was done by Sushidame, and i believe she made a vid of it. But she was also on task.
