Recommend me some new speakers?

Featured Replies

Ok so I just sold some old stuff on eBay (PSP, Dazzle) and I wanna put this money towards some new quality decent speakers that will last me quite some time.

I have around £130 to spend, willing to stretch to about £150 but i'd like to stay within my price range. I'm looking for good quality with a good amount of speakers and good bass. I really know nothing about this kinda stuff, but if you can get wireless ones of such a good quality that would be awesome too.

Any help appreciated!

You dont you need to spend anywhere near that much for quality speakers (as far as I know. You probably wont even be able to tell the difference unless you have a good sound card.

WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME

#1 Wongtong stalker.

Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

The Harmon Soundsticks II sound amazing, and come with a subwoofer. $150 USA. I have the Altec Lansing Expressionist Bass FX3022 which are nice with superb base. I got them for $50.

I would personally take a look at the latter, because although they're under your price range, they're great if you're looking for base. Don't bother with wireless speakers unless you want to play music outside. The standard signal they use either lags, gets interrupted by GSM phones, or will be destroyed by your microwave. I've had all three happen to me; the reason they stay outside.

Damn, I was kinda interested in the idea of having them all around my room on the walls and such without having to deal with the wires hehe. Well i'm glad I won't need to spend that much, I can now get those nikes I wanted too.

Still open to other suggestions. ;)

Those are a bit more than 130 quid lol.

If you're truly ready to spend that much on some speakers, I'd recommend the Klipsch ProMedia 2.0. No subwoofer, but you can get some decent bass out of it.

Or, at a very large stretch, you may be able to find a new/new-ish set of Bose Companion 3's for £150 or less.

I'd happily spend less if you know of any cheaper top quality ones?

I'm not actually familiar with the sub £100 speakers (I'm not trying to act snobby, but last time I was looking for a system it was between £130-£200). in your price range, the Altec Lansing MX5021 2.1 system is probably your best bet (but the others I mentioned are also good performers).

Anyway, I can't make any cheaper recommendations for aforementioned reasons.
