So, I am looking to raise my def to at the very least 85, probably 90, and I bought guthans so i can train at bandits since they auto attack, and ill be reading other stuff online. My questions are as follows: do you need to drink water while in the buildings at the bandit camp, and would my def level be high enough to not need any food, or should I take some anyway?

 

Also, if you guys know of any other places that I can train def while reading other things (besides Az's) that would be great.

Zombie monkey's with salve amulet, bring a combat famailiar. Its a little faster then Az's because you get to bring a combat familiar and because theres not much competition there. You lose out on the profit though that Az's have.

Well zombie monkey's will give you that, bring your typical prayer gear and a full inventory of prayer potions and combat familiars.

 

To answer your question, as long as your in the tent or buildings you don't require water.

I'd just sell the guthans then... War spear is a pretty bad weapon and you will lose a lot of XP/hr when you can just use whip 100% of the time.

Are zombie monkey's not in a multi combat dungeon? Which means you will likely be praying meelee, which makes you use up prayer potions. With AZ's you get to pray turmoil/piety with no prayer potions involved.

I do believe Zombie Monkeys are slighty faster since you can bring a Combat Familiar along, however the slight increase in speed won't recoup the losses from not going to AZ's.
