February 27, 201016 yr Hello people, I was thinking of doing the Summer's End quest for the awesome Spirit Shields. Looking at my Sig, would you say that i could solo the boss? thanks for your help, any advice is welcome
February 27, 201016 yr No you can't solo the boss. Very few people have which are maxed. Proud Warlord of DragonwoodIf it's natural to kill, how come men have to go into training to learn how? ~ Joan Baez Rest in Peace 3xtermination
February 27, 201016 yr If you mean the quest, you actually don't kill the boss, you just do some random stuff to weaken it and trap it or something. So yes if you mean completing the quest. Help drive change Canada
February 27, 201016 yr Yeah, what Glasscube said: You can do the quest, but if you're talking about soloing the Corporeal Beast after the quest, then definitely not. Not even close. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
February 27, 201016 yr I did the quest with stats much worse than yours. So if you have a good internet connection and fast fingers. Yes. If you are talking about Corporeal Beast, no chance.
February 27, 201016 yr I think I was something like full 70s-75s when I did it, diedd twice. Just bring a good axe and food, pray magic and it shouldn't be too hard.
February 27, 201016 yr Its not profitable to solo it, unless you get real lucky. Plus its so easy to die
February 27, 201016 yr summer's end is one of few quests that relies entirely on strategy during its big boss fight (with the other 2 being blood runs deep and the balance elemental of wgs)...the fact that before nomad's requiem came out, I saw lv70s with the quest cape proves it can easily be done by pretty much anyone...
February 27, 201016 yr Author Haha guys im not talking about soloing the corp beast no xD What i meant was would i die in the process of trying to complete the quest =]
February 27, 201016 yr Haha guys im not talking about soloing the corp beast no xD What i meant was would i die in the process of trying to complete the quest =] Yes, you will die during the quest. Multiple times if you are like most players. Good news is that armour doesn't work so there is no need to take anything expensive with you. You will be able to do it as easily as anyone, though. Just read a good guide first.
February 27, 201016 yr If you just stay focused, there is no reason that you should. i did it with stats pretty close to yours, but its pretty irrelavent anyways. All you need to do is keep moving, have brews ready in case you choke up, and have super energy restores for the final room where i personally ran for like 5 bloody minutes straight. your hits are high enough that you wont get 1 hit by his attack, which is the only thing changing the simplicity between you and any other person.
February 27, 201016 yr You probably will die a few times during the quest, yes, but you can do it. Might take a few attempts, but you can definitely complete it. Just don't be like me and panic. :P [hide][/hide]
February 27, 201016 yr Just stay calm and time everything right. When you are cutting the roots, cut only until you hear the attack sound, then run like hell. In the second part, just run in circles until the chat notifies you that the thing (cant remember what its called) has been released. Then just stand next to a hole, dig it, and wait. The last part is the easiest, just takes some luck. Just focus on which colour went where, and avoiding the attacks. Just follow these steps and you wont die. I didnt die when i did it, and i just winged it lol.

Come on now, no need to exaggerate a story (I.E. lying!) to impress people. There is a combat level of 85 requirement to do the quest "Dream Mentor" so it is impossible to have seen a level 70 with a quest cape between the release of Blood Runs Deep/While Guthix Sleeps and Nomad's Requiem.
