March 8, 201016 yr I drew this over the course of one day, using a picture from a D&D book as reference. Is it too dark? A friend of mine said it was. (hmm... irl, it's darker) Also any advice on getting dragon heads to not look like wolf heads? sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
March 8, 201016 yr 1. Look at professional paintings of wolfs and dragons and spot the difference2. You dont have to color every bit in3. Awesome <3: [hide]Felix, je moeder.Je moeder felixJe vader, felix.Felix, je oma.Felix, je ongelofelijk gave pwnaze avatar B)Felix, je moeder.[/hide]
March 8, 201016 yr Yeah the face does look kinda like a wolf, I think you should keep drawing from reference though, you're definately improving. Just whatever you do don't go back to that so called concept art crap, you're doing much better for yourself with these type of sketches.
March 8, 201016 yr Just dumping this, might help[hide=wolfs][/hide][hide=dragons][/hide]right i think i got itall this sketch st00f makes your dragon look furry, furry dragons dont exist, wolfs are furry. Dragons have scales, if you cant draw scales then dont completely color in the dragon with gray. March 9, 201016 yr Yeah like plllllllllllr said ;) try easing off the sketchyness of the face, maybe that would help. Left foot looks weird too, other than that I like it :) "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
March 9, 201016 yr Try adding texture instead of just shading. Like this: When drawing an animal with scales or texture you don't want smooth lines. Try harsh "scratchings" to give it a rough look. Sorry for the crap quality.
March 9, 201016 yr You've pretty much nailed that anatomy and perspective of the wings and body. Just work on the feet a bit. You are improving heaps though!
