Nvm. Anywho, I wait for Kimako to get back or Earth to arrive, practicing camouflaging in tree branches and shooting at targets.

If yes, I go do that.

If no, I spend all my money on Medkits and AK47 bullets, and climb a watchtower, knifing the guards silently.

Kimako picks up valuable looking pieces of scrap metal and puts them in her pack, for later use. Then she asks the other two people accompanying her what they are supposed to do now that the bodies are missing. If it involves going to some place that isn't suicidal or returning to the base, then Kimako does that.

Can you hurry up? I gotta go in less than 5 minutes.

Earth:

You come across an old quarry. It seems to be a base for the loners, and it even has a trader.

 

Varius:

You practice some more stealth moves.

Stephen:

You go up to a tower, where two guards are keeping watch. Somehow, you manage to slit both their throats without anybody noticing. You loot a medkit, 100c, and an Armsel Striker shotgun (average quality, poor condition, 12-round drum magazine). You manage to walk out of the base without any trouble.

Kimako:

You don't find any scrap metal. Suddenly, you and your squad hear some moaning noises. You spot 20 corpses, slowly coming your way!

 

 

Karl:

You come across a strange anomaly. It is a large bubble, and has some odd lights flashing inside of it.

[Earth]

i go and ask the trader if he has any mining goods. then i ask the loner leader if he has any information on mines.

[Grim_]

Karl scans the anomoly with his detector. He then throws a rock inside of it (do I still have the suit?)

[Retech]

So that's where the zombies come from, radioactive corpses!

 

 

 

 

Kimako sets her weapon on automatic if she can, and looses a total of ten bullets at five of the zombies. Meanwhile, she tells the assualt weapon folks to go in front, since they're "men", to fire at the zombies as well.

I sprint towards Kimako's position, and give her control of my character. I also ask some Duty soldiers if they can assist me.

 

I have 70-something 9mm rounds, an Mp5 w/ red dot sight, a pistol, two throwing knives in arm sheaths, a hunting knife in my boot, and a civilian gas mask.

 

If I'm in danger, I run back to the base.

 

Gotta go, see ya tomorrow!

I walk towards what I believe to be the centre of the Deadzone, whooping and screaming as soon as I'm out of earshot of the Renegade camp.

 

If I see anyone in a group of 3 or less, I find some cover and then I shoot & loot. If I see a group of 4 or above, and they have respectable gear, I will approach them with my hands up. Unless they're an icky faction.

 

SHOOT AND LOOT!

Earth:

You are at the quarry, and the trade has a pickaxe for sale, 100c.

 

Kimako:

Your 9mm handgun only has a 5 round clip. You open fire on the zombies, and manage to kill 3 of them, but completely miss two of them. You squad members also open fire. One of them sprays bullets all over the place, but misses the zombies. The other one hurls a M67 grenade at the group, killing 7 zombies, as limbs and appendages begins raining down.

Varius:

You reach Kimako.

 

Karl:

You begin scanning the anomaly, but it suddenly explodes into a blinding flash.

 

Stephen:

You come across a small UN security patrol. There are three of them, two of which are beating some loners with stun batons, and the other one is standing guard. They have some advanced weaponry.

[Retech]

Kimako backs away while firing five rounds at five zombies, while asking the competent squad member to do the same. She flatters the doofus by telling him to be a man and face the zombies, asking him to move slightly to the side and towards the zombies while firing, so that he distracts the zombies from Kimako and gets a better spot. It might even cost him his life. -hint hint-

 

If the incompetant squad member is close enough to the zombies, then Kimako "accidentally" puts a round in him, but only if he's so close to the line of fire against the zombies that there is no possibility that it could be construed that she tried to kill him. Like if he is right next to the zombies, within arms reach.

 

 

 

 

 

If Nex isn't still on, then Varius fires at the zombies too with his handgun.

Karl examines the remains of the anomoly and continues to the merc squads last known location.

I throw my grenade towards the UN forces, and as they stoop to inspect it I open fire with my AK. FULL AUTOMATIC, F YEAH.

Karl:

There are no traces of the anomaly. However, you recieve some strange transmission. "What's happening?! Everything seems the same! We've been going around for hours, nothing is-[static]. Running out of food and w-[static]. Someone help us, [gunshot], [cabbage]! James just killed him-[transmission fades out]".

 

Stephen:

You lob your grenade at the forces, and by the time they notice it, it explodes, killing two of them instantly. You go full auto on the last guard, but miss.

Kimako:

You fire at the remaining zombies, and only manage to kill 1 of them. Varius opens fire, and kills one, wounding another 4. The two Duty squad members go full auto on the zombies, and kill 3 more. The remaining 5 slowly come at you and the rest of the team, and one swipes at you, wounding you slightly. The other 4 attack the Duty squad member, giving them minor wounds.

Switch to handgun and shoot the final guard. Bastard better die!

 

Assuming he doesn't kill me, I go over to the loners and say hi. If they need it, I'll use my medkit on them. But I'm prepared to shoot them if they don't reward me in some form. I keep my AK drawn as I walk to them.

 

Oh right, I loot as well.

[Retech]

Kimako, Varius, and the competant squad member back up so that they have some distance between the zombies and them, and start firing with their assorted weaponary. The dumb squad member is told to distract them by standing exactly where he is and firing at them close range auto, hopefully killing the rest.

 

Then Kimako loots the bodies.

[Grim_]

Karl tries to respond to the communication and use the P.D.A to find the location.

Karl:

Your PDA has gone haywire, and the map isn't working right. You see a little trail of blood going off towards a house.

 

Kimako:

(both of the men are compitent, one of them just rolled a 1)

With some well-placed pistol shots, you manage to single-handedly kill the remaining zombies. You loot the bodies, and manage to find 300c, but they have no weapons or ammo. The Duty squad members call in for reinforcements.

Stephen:

You hit the UN trooper directly in the heart. You go up to the two loners. They seem a little beat up, and are in shock.

I thought one of them was a doofus. :P

 

 

 

 

Kimako and Varius wait, and Kimako asks the squad member if her task is complete, and if she can go back to the leader or whether there was something else. If the task is done, then Kimako goes and speaks with the leader, asking to join Duty and for another task.

I ask them if they know the co-ords of any faction bases near to our location, and then shoot them with my handgun - point blank. Badass.

 

I loot all 5 bodies.

Karl checks out the house coming in with gun drawn.

Stephen:

They are still in shock, and you kill both of them with your handgun. You loot the bodies, gaining an XM8 rifle (average quality, poor condition, 30 round clip, uses 5.56x45mm) which needs to be repaired before it is used. You also find some 5.56x45mm ammo (13), and 100c on the bodies.

 

Karl:

There are three mercs sitting in the house. There is also one dead merc on the ground.

 

Kimako:

You return to the Duty base, where the commander is waiting for you. He hands you 300c and an MP5 (average quality, moderate condition, 15 round clip) for you help. He states that you can enter Duty, and has you take an oath before joining. Unfortunately, he has no more tasks for you today.

I walk on aimlessly towards the centre of the Deadzone, AK47 drawn. Quieter now.
