Varius reloads his MP5, then continues unloading clips into the bloodsucker. Enigma presumably shoots with his pistol as well.

 

Also, I didn't go to the ground to climb another tree, I tried to go from tree to tree and branch to branch. If that wasn't possible, based on one of my earlier posts, I thought you would assume I just shoot it.

Kimako fires one shot at the sound of the grenade explosion, and if she hears the growl of an injured animal, then she unloads 9 more rounds.

Karl goes east of the base looking for the strange group.

Varius:

You spot the creature in your thermal scope, and unload the clip, causing major damage. It starts slowing down.

Kimako:

You shoot once, and see some blood spurt in midair. You fire another 9 rounds, but miss. You hear no signs of the creature.

Enigma:

You fire towards the last location of the creature, but miss.

Stephen:

You start taking measurements and finish rather quickly. You start searching for the artifact again, finiding the location of it. It appears, and looks like a blue orb with electrical currents going through it.

Karl:

You come up to a group of 3 hooded men. They don't look at you.

Kimako listens for the beast, and shoots with her MP5 on accurate if she hears it. Otherwise, she waits for the smoke to clear (is it clear yet?)

Variuss looks into his scope to determine the creature's location. If it is not moving, He walks up and knifes it repeatedy. If it is, he reloads and shoots it with his MP5 again. When it dies, he picks up his throwing knives and asks for Enigma and Kimako's help to drag the creature back to base. He also loots the corpses found earlier and asks the group how to split the loot.

Please hurry, I gotta go!

Varius:

You spot the bloodsucker with your scope, and fire with your MP5, hitting it a couple times. You realize that you are low on ammo for it (10 left).

Kimako:

The bloodsucker runs up to you, and tries wrapping it's tentacles around your neck. It starts sucking blood out, but you yank out your pistol, and shoot it a couple times, until it pulls the tentacles back out, and falls over. For the first time, you actually see the creature, dead on the ground. You feel a little faint, but the holes in your neck have already clotted.

Stephen:

You hand the artifact to one of the CS ecologists, and they hurry off with it. The executive tells you that they need it to prepare another powerful weapon, which should be complete by tomorrow. He then asks you what kind of reward you want (reasonable)

I pick up my knives, loot the corpses of the patrol (wait to split the loot till tomorrow?), and drag the body back to base, asking what my reward is. I store the body of the bloodsucker in my room, then go to sleep.

Kimako attempts to heal herself with bandages (at least patch it up) using her medkit. Then she helps Varius and Enigma drag the corpse back to the Duty base, where she asks for medical attention. She remembers to loot the dead bodies on the ground too.

 

Then she asks if the bodies were the Duty patrol. If they were, then she collects her reward.

I ask them if I can permanently join their faction. If yes, then I whoop loudly. If no, then I nod sagely.

 

I ask for more work, in the field of killing. Then I go do it.

Stephen:

The executive tells you that they don't have any of the cheap, black market RPGs. When you ask him about joning, he says, "In due time." Since he didn't have what you requested, he hands you 500c instead. You ask for a job, and he points to two men wearing CS biosuits. "Escort them to the pumping station, through the marsh."

 

Kimako:

You have no bandages, but you aren't bleeding. You feel light-headed from the blood loss. You return to the camp, dragging the body. Once you arrive, a medic rushes to help.

 

Varius:

You loot the bodies, but find only 200c, as most equipment was damaged by the grenade. You manage to find a throwing knife.

I nod sagely. Then I escort those CS people.

 

I whoop loudly. COME AND GET US VARIOUS ENEMIES.

Kimako receives medical attention from the medic, before telling the leader to look at the body of the monster, and the bodies of the dead men. She asks the leader if they were the patrol, and asks for some money/bullets, because she wasted a lot of bullets on the monster and doesn't have many left for another thing.

 

Then she asks if there is any freedom patrol or base she could take out, and whether she could have some grenades/bulletproof armor to do that, since she's always at the front of the fray leading the other Duty squad members.

Kimako:

The Duty commander tells you he doesn't have much to spare, and gives you 10 7.62MM rounds, along with 600c (and the rest of the group). He tells you that there are no freedom patrols this far out in the zone anymore, and that most of them are further in. He also confirms that those men were the missing squad. After looking at the bloodsucker, he says, "It looks like a juvenile. The ecologists are always babbling about their tentacles, you might want to try striking a deal with them."

 

Stephen:

You come across 6 corpses in the marsh.

Kimako buys enough rounds until she has 50 AK-47 rounds again, and maybe up to 50 9mm rounds if she can afford them. Afterwards, she asks Duty about where the ecologists are, and set out for them with the corpse in tow.

Stephen:

You take 100c from one of the bodies before they all get up, and start swarming you and your squad. You and the group open fire, and kill three of the zombies. They start attacking, but fortunately your squadmate's suits protect them.

Kimako:

You have 76 9mm rounds, and spend 100c for another 10 rounds for the AK47. Somehow, you manage to tow the corpse all the way to the ecologist bunker. The professor seems baffled, and says, "You brought us a whole specimen?!"

Shoots them. Then shoots my squadmates.

 

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"Of course. Duty respects the goals of the Ecologists."

 

Then Kimako hints at getting a reward for dragging the corpse to there, perhaps some sort of super-armor and/or some coins.

Kimako:

The professor hands you an SP99 Mk.I suit (+2 fire, eletrical and chemical protection, closed cycle breathing system, moderate rad. protection). It looks perfect for artifact hunting. He also gives you 1500c to split with your friends.

 

Stephen:

You and the group fire on the zombies. You hit one in the neck, killing it, and the team finishes off the rest. You proceed to the pumping station, and arrive fine. There is a large group of CS members there, preparing some operation.

Kimako leaves 500c with Enigma and 500c with Varius. She puts on the awesome uber suit and asks the ecologists where an artifact that they would like could be found. If they tell her one, then she heads there. If they don't have one in mind, then she asks for a scanner and a PDA to report back, then goes scanning for artifacts and reporting back her findings.

 

Then she offers an allince with the Ecologists, and if they accept, she asks the Duty leader.

Kimako:

The professor tells you that they don't have any artifacts that they need in particular. They mark 3 different anomalies on your map, which include an eletrical one, a fire one and a chemical one. When you ask the professor about forming an alliance with Duty, he says, "Unfortunately, we cannot form alliances with any of the factions. The faction we have the closest ties with is the mercs, since they were granted a contract to protect us. However, we will consider giving Duty such a contract as well." He hands you a basic detector.

Kimako heads to the chemical anomaly, before falling asleep when she gets there.

You reach the anomaly without any problems.

 

UPDATE:

Stephen helped CS corp. take control of the pumping station, a resource point. Their numbers have boosted slightly as well. It is rumored that they have two prototype weapons complete.

The renegades lost a few squads.

The TZDF has recruited some loners.

 

Territories have now been given sizes. Small means that it can hold a maximum of 7 men, medium has a max cap. of 15, large has a cap. of 20, and huge, 30. Keep this in mind when attacking.
