Mithril Dragons

I just got 90 summoning this weekend so I have a unicorn now. I wanted to go kill some mith dragons in hopes of getting some good loot, but I was wondering what my set up should be with a unicorn. I have around 65m total, so I can get most gear I would think.

 

Stats:

99 Hp

98 Str

95 Atk

95 Def

96 Ranged

86 Mage

71 Prayer

Iron dragons are already a bad idea. Imagine how bad an idea mith dragons are.

Why are they such a bad idea? Also, I didn't ask about whether it was a good idea or not, I was simply asking for a good set up to use. Thanks.

Too much pots + food wasted and not that good drops

Set up would be wearing karils and praying mage

Would swapping out torag's plate for a bcp be a good idea? I have bcp already, and I figure if I don't have to buy too much more gear it won't be a total waste.

Yeah that works but decreases defence against melee by a good number

I use tassy z ring d boots zammy spear fury karils top slayer helm but not your task so verac's. use your uni and super set un;ess u have extreme's also p pots and a enhanced excalibur helps alot. also you can use a godsword if you want and crush but i prefer the zs's stab

You don't need a unicorn, really. I can kill 10+ on a slayer task with absolutely no trouble and have some 15-20 monks left over. If you want to take a uni for when the tort runs out, go ahead I guess, but know this:

 

1) The tort will probably be filled with loot you are unwilling to give up

2) Uni is making healing more expensive than it has to be

3) It's pretty close to a bank

Unicorn is actually cheaper than monkfish at the moment.

Uh, you don't want to use Torags. It has a magic defense of 'What's that?' and mith dragons use magic. That's why the guide on the site says to use Karil's. Or black d'hide if you have to, because you don't have/want to spend the money on Karil's. (In my case, half my bank would go byebye if I got Karil's.)

I use melee barrows and pray mage + piety. Works fine, ~3 ppots per 9 drags.

 

And if uni is cheaper than monks, it usually isn't, but go with whatever is best atm! :)

Yeah, but overall you are right. Best off bringing a tortoise and collecting all those mith bars!

definitely go with karils + melee prayer. their melee max hit is the highest.

Melee is the most powerful and most accurate, so you want to pray against that. I prefer unicorn to beasts of burden, but if you have 95 prayer you could use a beast of burden and flash soulsplit/deflect to heal.
