Tribrid DKS Gear

Hello,

 

I currently have a Dagannoth task and plan to do tribrid soloing for the task. I have done solo tribiding on a couple of occasions and I have a gear and inventory set up that I will be using; however, I would like some constructive criticism to make it more efficient.

 

Here is the gear and inventory I plan to use:

(I have an amulet of fury and a berserker ring(i) but I am unsure if it is worth the risk)

Well, it's easy to a point, but more difficult than every other method to kill Dagannoth Kings. I considered using the Balmung, but I was thinking the benefit of defense from the DFS would outweigh the need for it while soloing.

 

Don't you need runes to kill rex?

I will be bringing fire surges and I will be editing my inventory picture to incorporate the runes. Thanks for pointing that out.

Well, it's easy to a point, but more difficult than every other method to kill Dagannoth Kings. I considered using the Balmung, but I was thinking the benefit of defense from the DFS would outweigh the need for it while soloing.

The defense on DFS makes balmung useless. Balmung is amazing but you need the extra defense.

Do you ever have 2 kings on you at a time?

Using slayer helmet makes it a lot easier to finish each king off squareroot. When he enters he will have to deal with supreme and prime and hope rex doesn't spot him. Then I assume he keeps mage prayer on gets prime low hp, then switches to rex. Kills rex, then finishes off supreme as he's running towards prime, rinse and repeat. Am I correct?

Do you ever have 2 kings on you at a time?

It happens the moment you step down that ladder (usually) and there is a high chance of it happening regularly unless you cautiously take one king to low life points as you kill another king.

Rol is near useless here since the kings hit so high. Even row would be better.

ROW is useless simply because all it does is increase the drop rate of gems and half keys. I would take a lumbridge achievement diary ring because of free low alchemy, prayer bonus, and extra run energy for getting through the dungeon.

That is correct if you want to save your supplies; however, I tend to tank Rex after killing Prime and head straight for Supreme. It seemed quite a hassle to take prime to low life points each time and I'm quite the impatient type. :rolleyes:

If I decided to bring my imbued rings instead, it would increase my chance of dying for slightly better bonuses that I don't necessarily need. However, I will still consider this.

Seems like a decent alternative; however, my main concern was that the Ring of Life can potentially save me from a death (ie: connection loss or a drastic mistake) which would result in me saving components of my Full Slayer Helm, Staff of Light, and other items. Although a Dragonstone Ring (i) is cheap, it puts me at a greater risk to lose other items for 5+ bonuses. This could be an issue of confidence for me since I haven't got a good grasp of solo tribriding yet, so I will consider this suggestion once I get more comfortable with tribriding. Thank you for the recommendation.

I usually take similar gear, maybe little cheaper, and it works fine.

When i enter the cave i barrage rex with dds equipped, spec supreme (usually dies in 3-4 specs), keep fcing rex, range prime, spec supreme again, rex, prime and so forth.

I personally dont like killing rex just b4 prime to warn about prayer switch, as i can kill them b4 the other one spawns.

I have 94rang/mage, 81str + piety, war tortoise and 80def

 

 

If i can get 700k/h+ in there, im sure u can get alot more, and complete ur task =)

bring a cannon + cannonballs to set up under prime's spawn

 

sw cape > accumulator

 

bring a barrows platebody and have a plain black dragonhide top for switch when killing prime

 

infinity boots > mystic boots > dragon boots

 

as said, get rid of the rol and use dragonstone (i)

 

fury > glory

 

you don't need rune thrownaxes anymore

 

overloads? if you've got em

 

waaaay too many brews, flash soulsplit on rex and supreme + ee should be enough unless you make a mistake
