Blitzkrieg - German, Lightning War

 

Hello and welcome to Blitzkrieg, a thread which is basically a cross between Dungeoneering and the Tip.It Hegemony but with a few minor differences.

 

You start as one character, this character can be told to do things (just like dungoneering) and based on the things these character does the Moderator will tell you the consequnces of the actions.

Try and make a good description of your character. He will live forever [because a wizard does it].

He can be killed though, the moderator will decide if he really is killed and you will have to create a new leader.

 

Over time, with sufficient exploration you will find materials and more people (which are controlled by you in the same way that you controlled your previous character (through commanding them as you do in dungoneering), these people can be commanded to make buildings out of the materials found, you can also choose to research things as you did in the hegemony (yet the have to be plausible). Be careful not to overwork or displease your people, the moderator will make your people rebel if you do so (This also allows people to use propoganda against other countrys and speeches on your own country).

 

If one so wishes, an edict can be issued, (if its something like martial law or a chilling effect there is no need to explain but if its an edict you have made up it requires explaining) These edicts have different effects on the production, the amount of rebellions and whatever else the law can do.

 

Warfare's outcome will be decided by the moderator, based on common sense, numbers, location, clothing and other factors that may take place. I will give the use of meleé weapons a slight bonus simply to encourage use of them in the battle field

 

Technology must be announced and then the moderator will decide a suitible time for it to be finished.

Technology is capped at 1960 (but I may let some things ahead of that slide to add some more gameplay)

 

If you want to issue something secret (like plant a ninja in someones palace or whatever) you need to send a PM to BlitzKriegMod and he will note it down and everything.

 

 

 

Rules

- One day = One year

 

- The mods word is not final but ignoring his word may result in a ban from the game

 

- Technology's and Edicts must be sent to the mod (otherwise he can't note it down and it can't make any effect)

 

- The world is the same as it was in the 20th century, but without global warming, infastructure or political effects. Lets just imagine if you stumbe on a person they never were part of a government or anything like that.

No, i'm just saying the world has not had any development and there is no global warming, it is pretty confusing.

You can command him to do things like 'Bob looks around' and then BlitzKriegMod will reply with something like 'You find nothing'/'You find something' you can only really control a country like in the hegemony when you get a sufficient amount of people to control

Convieniently, that's exactly the premise that Manifest Destiny was founded on. :P

Fantastic, feel free to add a little dot to norway in the colour of your choice and then feel free to start roleplaying right away.

Didn't really see the need for bodily hair but the rest is good :P

 

To start roleplaying just say an action such as "Mather searches around" but keep it as in character as you can.

Blitzkrieg will tell you the outcome of your actions, please keep a little notepad document on your desktop with all your items and skills on it.

Manifest destiny is a god game, this is more like a game where your a king and you can really physically make a difference instead of ordering things and this has a different way of doing the 'getting stuff done thing'

Mather - In your sights you find yourself in a large green field, The grass stil has dew on it. You clamber through the thick grass For a long time until you find a gleaming source of water.

Mather attempts to find and fashion a long stick into a spear.

There is a a stick lying just next to the small river, you pick it up and find that it is soggy and covered in woodlice. There is a tree to the left of you with a large stick next to it, you decide to pick it up.

You have nothing to sharpen the stick, and no string to attach a rock.

i look around for something that i can use.

Earth - your find yourself that it's dark and hard to see, it is still warm. There is lots of rocks on the floor, a couple of twigs you hear a stream nearby and birds tweeting.

dangit. i try to use a sharp rock to make a small fishing spear with a twig. i then go looking for a river, or stream.

Earthsage - you make a shoddy looking stick which looks like a five year old made it, you walk to the stream, you can't find any fish.

Mather - the bugs are poisonous you feel quesy, as if you ate about to throw up.

Earthsage - you experiance a chill as you fish out a rock from the cold Siberian waters, you find that your hand has gone numb and you can't move it.
