Nintendo's Mario vs Sega's Sonic.

Mario, because I've never liked Sonic. He was second. And I'd argue that recent Mario games aren't complete crap... But the most recent one I've played, New Super Mario Bros. DS is from 2006... Plus Mario Kart Wii, but that game has some serious flaws (go from 1st to last in a matter of seconds? no thanks.)

 

Super Paper Mario = quite possibly the best mario game. I want a DS version now.

 

Also Nintendo is miles better than Sega.

I like both, since they were both game series that I first started with.

 

I can't really choose which one is better. They both have diverse characters, great gameplay, and awesome overall.

 

Also, who cares if Mario and Sonic's recent games suck. They're still awesome to me! :thumbsup:

Because Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was such a necessary addition to both series.

 

Thats is a spin-off, not a mario game <_<

Mario. I played it more than sonic, and I like the character's much more than sonic.

 

SNES: Super Mario RPG is the [cabbage]. One of my favorite mario games.

That is due to the mass majority of gamers liking all those FPS shooter games. They just don't understand the awesomeness of Nintendo and Sega games. :thumbsup:

 

But Bandai Namco is better than both of them.

To add to that, you've also got the older gamers who think they just aren't as challenging as the older ones, which they aren't. This isn't to say they aren't good. Some of us just prefer the original games.

 

I personally am hoping that sonic 4 will breathe some life into the series, going back to the old 2d side scrolling game is probably a step in the right direction. As long as they never make a sequel to shadow the hedgehog *shudders* or ever think about utilizing werehog again they should be able to make a comeback.

Sure, Shadow the Hedgehog might be crappy to a lot (which started the Sonic Cycle...? or was it 06 that did it?), but just because the prequel sucks does not mean the sequel will. You never know.

I never really played Mario, only ever played it when it was on the school computers 2 years ago :P

 

Sonic is full of childhood memories, me and my friend always used to play it.

But I remember playing Sonic 3d or whatever and it was terrible. Maybe thats because 2d was much easier to understand when I was that age :P
