That seems fairly simple. If somebody really wanted to commit a crime, there are many ways of removing things like that. EMP, for instance. Besides, it isn't difficult to rig a microwave to go off without the glass panel on the front. Just point that at your arm or wherever the chip is for 4-5 seconds and the chip is fried.
