How about he gets all the parts of America that are NPC. I dont like havin him start on another planet, since over half of players voted to stay inside the solar system.

Problem with that is that the annexations have already gone through, Arch just hasn't updated the map.

And Arch, why does Pakistan have 3 cities, since I destroyed them all.

Pakistan doesn't have any cities left, I'm not sure if you are looking at Afghanistan or just hallucinating, Pakistan was split between India and Iran.

Oh whoops, curse my bad eye sight. That is indeed Afghanland.

Well, by the end of those 41 years I would be a further 8200 lightyears away, in any direction.

How is that so? Duna only doubled speed, and it was 50 light years per day normally...

What? Only 4,000 battleships a year? I had been able to do that for years..

That makes it even easier for Dusty, since he now has, at least 40,000,000 per year, which means he could cover the whole 1,000 light years within a single year....The only thing stopping him now is the speed of his ships.

Think of it this way. There are two cars with infinite fuel, that travel at the same speed

Think of it this way. If I start doing something no one can ever stop me, I am unbeatable.

For example:

The SFW announces a new shield. It provides 100% protection, no matter what is thrown at it, for 1 second, for every second it has been active. Its not overpowered because there is a way to beat it, if we turn off the power.

Which is basically your justification there...

Oh, the point was that he didn't have 10,000 my production rate without cheating. Or, probably even half to be honest. And that's a terrible analogy. Mine is perfect. There was a max speed we could go, and I started traveling first. That means I win the race.

And sorry, I thought it was 100ly, and then 200ly. Same difference in the long run. Plus, the further out I go, the more land he has to search. I wouldn't have won (or atleast it would have taken a few centuries probably), but I wouldn't have lost either. It would have been just a tie. Plus, we never officially declared war anyway, I don't think.

Perhaps Retech could just get most of the Continental US, with a 1.5 or 2 trillion IAG? Or something.

Herpaderp I annexed somewhere and don't want Hegemony to grow so no you can't have my land unless you give me all your money for your first 3 turns derpderp

Not that I would be any different.

Well, as it was when he quit, Infrastructure would be calculated after IAG, meaning his IAG Would be dropped to like a few hundred billion anyway. Giving him as much as we are is fairly generous in the first place, as all that happened before he quit.

Actually I figured out that I had enough money loaned or would be loaned that I would've brought my infrastructure over one. I just didn't have a chance to implement my infrastructure construction, because I was forced to quit.

Well the way we had it, your IAG would be calculated first (so if you had .1 infra, your IAG would be 10%, and then they would calculate your infrastructure improvements. So you would have like an infra of 1 or 2, but an IAG of like 150 billion.

Well, what's winning? If it means defeating all competitors, then you didn't win. If it means controlling the most land or being the strongest, then you won.

Actually, I had an idea.

Storyline to accomadate this strange turn of events

After the fall of the American empire and the nuking of Washington, the fifty million most intelligent and otherwise "evolutionarily" superior Americans, Canadians, and Greenlanders left Earth on specially prepared one way escape pods, their destination Mars. They quickly developed a society, which was torn by civil war. Several years later, the leaders of the United States re-emerged from hiding (me), to lead the ten million remaining Americans to a great life on Mars. After Project Genesis, a very different atmosphere was formed on Mars, with roughly equal parts carbon dioxide and oxygen. The Americans adapted to the new enviroment due to intense solar radiation.

The new Americans were also the most wealthy, and despite leaving most of their wealth behind, still had an average GDP per capita of 50,000.

Summary:

Start on Mars with 500 billion IAG

Space technology on par with most advanced space-faring nation

----

This way, there's no arguing over land, and I still get a fairly decent start. After all, this turn of events makes Mars slightly more habitable, and maybe make it more interesting.

Well my main reason for it was that it wouldn't affect the current world order, since apparantly no one wants to let go of their land in North America.

I dont understand why everyone wants to go to Mars first. The Moon is a lot closer so it would be easier to get there and get use of its resources.

I also dont think someone should get to (re)start in space before anyone else gets there. Cant just everyone that got a part of the US give him a small part each and he would get a decent country and you would keep most of what you got.

I'm just going to be really blunt, and say that I wouldn't be able to rest when a part of America wasn't in American hands. Remember what happened with Central America?

Dammit retech! I resent that you will have tech on par with my 25 year research project (which is incidentally finished today :P ) Can't say what it is though (also remembering the first hegemony it would be a bad idea to give you a defensive advantage like that)

Well, would you rather have that part of America, or the country in SE Asia. Or, I guess, the one in Southeastern Europe.

I don't think it's much of a defensive advantage. The atmospheres would only be different in the way that Earth people on Mars might feel tired after running for ten minutes, while Martians on Earth would feel high on oxygen.

I meant more like whatever people were gonna give you.

Just wondering, what was Dusty meaning by Texas? There isn't a Texas region, but I believe it's one of the brown ones.

I think just Texas itself. Wherever the state borders are, even if you got the rest of the continental us back.
