I've been wondering if I should sell my Bandos Chestplate + Bandos Tassy + Bandos Godsword and buy a Saradomin Godsword?

 

Is the Sgs really worth it? What exactly does it do?

 

And if I do, would d legs + torso work?

Or should I use Torags?

Depends on what do you do really. Sgs is probably the most versatile weapon in the game right now, I would say no because it sounds like you are dishing out your entire bank for one.

Definitely don't use D legs + Torso. Torag's is going to be better. As for the SGS, there's no place where you really need it, but it can make some activities easier. As luxury items go, I'd say it's a low priority.

Spend your money on Claws and prayer/herblore instead. Those are more useful than any godsword or Bandos armor.

 

Also get a fury and berserker before you buy bandos.

I don't think I'd ever use claws. I tried them and didn't like them so I won't be buying those. I do have a fury, but I don't have a zerker. Might have to invest in that.

 

@Gromhell, no, I'm not really clearing out my whole bank. I can still sell a lot of things to make up for my lost money, but my bandos would be the bulk.

 

Oh, from a slayer's point of view, should I buy the Sgs? I should probably edit that in the OP.

Sgs, bandos, fury, zerker, claws, dfs, etc are all high end luxury items that don't make too big a difference. They're good, but you probably have better things to be buying first, namely skills.

 

Sgs spec hits for boosted damage and according to your hit restores hp and prayer. For slayer, the amount tends to be enough to offset a significant part of damage you take and sustain the 5% or 10% strength prayers with modest prayer gear.

 

Enhanced excalibur is a far cheaper replacement for sgs, and in slayer terms, almost as good.

 

If you want to spend money to improve your slayer, buy a bunyip and maybe some range. Those are the cheapest options that give good returns.

Alright. I have decided to sell the bandos and give the sgs a try.

 

I have also decided to buy the zerker ring.

Verac's Skirt and either Torags or Dharok's plate (Same def bonuses, choose whatever looks better to you :^_^: ), or you could get a prossy top instead and piety tasks and buy pray pots with that money.
