longsword verse rapier

im thinking of getting 80 dungioneering and spending all points on a longsword or a rapier and mainly i wanna slay!

 

are most slayer monsters weak to stab or slash?

 

how much slower is the longsword compared to whip?

 

which should i choose to be better overall for slayer?

Most slayer monsters are weak to everything, but both weapons have slash and stab attacks. Metal dragons are weak to stab.

 

The whip attacks once every 2.4 seconds. The longsword attacks every 3 seconds. So you get 25% more attacks with the rapier/whip.

 

I'd say rapier hands down.

go with rapier, 1.25 faster

whereas the max hit of the longsword is only 1.10x higher roughly, with slightly better accuracy against slash monsters (dark beasts? not many are weak to slash)

Keep in mind that the chaotic weapons are expensive to recharge (2m every 10 hours of use unless you use tokens).

The increased xp rates alone make up for the 200k/h, not to mention more drops and charms.

200k/hr. It's really not that bad. Pretty much any dragon task will cover that pretty well. Most other tasks you end up coming out with a few hundred k atleast, and I hope they aren't taking you many many hours...

slayer makes waaaaaaaay more than 200k an hr and i turmoil everything! lol

Imo, longsword is better than rapier because of its +30 atk and +19 str, but if you have no problem with accuracy then rapier + defender is good, just make sure you pick one your happy with since 200k tokens is ALOT.

Probably false if the monster is equally weak to slash/stab. The attack bonus difference has a much smaller impact than most people think because they ignore attack level, potions, and prayers.

Don't get anything yet, they're supposed to release more dung content. And who knows, maybe we'll get some 90 or 99 gear.

im stopping dungion at lvl 80 as that can access up to floor 39 if they go with the same pattern if new stuff is good then ill train more =) if not str all the way

 

and they said they were working on 80 gear this is the 80 gear..
