Training methods for various skills

Featured Replies

I've been quite impressed with the Dungeoneering skill, and I feel it is a good opportunity to train some of my skills to help me get easier/quicker exp in Dungeoneering. I only solo because I don't have time to get a team together, so I figured having higher skills would make my life easier when I reach higher floors. So yeah, basically just need advice on the best ways to train these skills. I have MTK on fish and herbs for easy herblore exp for minimal loss, but other than that I haven't been 'moneymaking' for a while so my cashpile isn't the largest.

Cooking - 90 -> 99

Fishing - 86 -> 90

Fletching - 85 -> 90

Smithing - 80 -> 90

Mining - 71 -> 80

Hunter - 70 -> 80

Runecrafting - 71 -> 80

Thieving - 71 -> 80

Also, should I do ToG to get free exp in Dungeoneering or is it pointless to do so because I'm missing out on tokens?

Cooking - 90 -> 99 -if you are really poor- try tuna- I could ave got 70-99 less than 1m loss!

Fletching - 85 -> 90 - stringing Yew longs- easy enough

Smithing - 80 -> 90 - steel plates

Mining - 71 -> 80 - Granite, nuff said

Hunter - 70 -> 80 - red chins

Runecrafting - 71 -> 80 - nats

Thieving - 71 -> 80 - menaphite thugs.

4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]

Cook monks then sharks then rocktail.

Monks till 94, sharks till 98, rocktail rest of the way.

Thieving do pyramid plunder or blackjacking.

Yew longs for fletching, or addy bolts.

Do granite until 77, then use barbarian horn at concentrated coal for afk exp at around 50k xp/hr.

Smithing would be best done after 80 mining as you can mine concentrated gold and super heat it as you mine giving magic, smithing, and mining exp all at once. Super heating doesnt slow you down either.

Hunter do salamanders or chins

Runecrafting do Zmi, or graak nature crafting.

Any more advice? Particularly on Smithing?

I would actually give a +1 to superheating, and if you do it while mining concentrated gold, you'll be skilling three skills at once. If you'd rather not do that, Gold's a good (but expensive) route to go. Other than that, I'd just smith the best plate's you could for fast experience, or possibly bolts for a smaller loss.

Doubles exp when mining, training agility or burning logs, and from I've found mining recently, it lasts a fair while even when it's about a quarter full to begin with. \:D/

Use ToG or penguin points if you will unlock new floors with it (so you can go a bit higher before resetting your progress, and end up with higher prestige the next sweep of floors).

For training, this gold mining + super heating seems too good to let go.

Thieving and fletching are easy enough

Runecraftnig is just grinding through ZMI

Hunter is chins

If you use the blast furnace when smithing you can make profit and training your smithing at the same time :thumbsup:
