November 22, 200520 yr Idk, its kinda of an old movie but its like one of my favorites, its the sequal to pitch black. which was also good. but chronicles of rid[bleep] blew my mind when i first saw it, i first thought it was gonna be one of those crappy sci fi movies that i never wanan see (ie.star trek) but after seeing it, it made me wanna keep watching it, it was an amazing movie :D

November 22, 200520 yr ive never seen pitch balck or chronicles of rid[bleep] (didnt even know they were related to each other), they both kind of look like generic action movies. i like watching movies that really dont require much thought every now and then, they can be enjoyable. they are the kinds of movies my family likes, so maybe i can watch it with them.

November 22, 200520 yr Author yea pitch black is where vin diesel is stuck on an abandoned planet with some survivors of a ship crsh, and then chronicles of rid[bleep] is him later on and like if u dint understand some of the characters from chronicles, after seeing pitch black, you can understand where they came from.
November 23, 200520 yr They are very good movies, and I'm a big fan (they're in my collection). Vin Diesal is so very good for the role it's scary, and they are both great in entirely different ways. They are so different yet both good that it's funny, you can hardly tell they're related. And if you are a fan of the movies, do yourself a favour: play The Chronicles of Rid[bleep]: Escape From Butcher Bay game (for Xbox and PC - it's better on PC obviously). It really advances the charecter of Rid[bleep], and also of Johns (Cole Hauser in Pitch Black). It's an amazing game, that even if you don't like the movies it's good, but if you do like the movies, you'll like them even more after playing the game.
November 23, 200520 yr Pitch Black is ok, not exactly the best movie out there (takes a bit too long to develop imo) but rather enjoyable. I didn't mind Chronicles of Rid[bleep]. The ending was so-so (new that was coming). But at least it built off Pitch Black nicely :)
