Dungeoneering 70 - 80 - 88

I'm working on trying to get the Chaotic Staff, Farseer Kiteshield, and Arcane Stream Necklace.

What way is best to "rush" Frozen and Abandoned floors?

What should I do for Furnished floors?

I will be doing 4:4 or 5:5 larges for all Abandoned 2 floors.

Approximately how many run-throughs will it take me assuming I have 35 Prestige and start level 70 with a clean slate and do rushes on all Frozen and Abandoned 1 floors?

Chaotic staff is rubbish - same attack percent boost as sol, no spec, costs 200k extra an hour.

Don't do it man.

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

Heh, Basically anything would be more useful then the chaotic staff, including dung exp and the bonecrusher, and auguary (MUST GET if you're serious about Mage, which you sound like you are).

But, hey. It's your points :/

I can't offer much advice on how many runs, but the best way to go is 5:5, opening all doors and clearing all rooms of monsters, basically not picking much up, then rushing the boss. Have one guy make everyone gatestone runes.

Drops: Black Mask.

2:1 or 1:1 rush the lower levels then 4:4 or 5:5 higher floors.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

5:3 or 5:4 (small) or something is really not bad for the lower levels if you want some experience while rushing low floors. If not, you can always do 1:1 (pretty fast, no exp) or do like 5:1 or something and finish floors in 1 minute each.

5:3 means having a party of 5 players go through a dungeon that is set up for 3 players. It reduces the difficulty, allowing the dungeon to be completed faster, but at a penalty to xp.

For Frozen/Abandoned/Furnished, I either solo or 2:2/3:3 medium them.

Large maps just aren't worth it due to the amount of time it takes to finish, but that's personal experience.

Ah, alright.

So 3:1 on Frozen/Abandoned...

3:3 on Furnished...

And the highest I have available on Abandoned 2, which usually turns out to be 3 or 4.

Sounds like a good plan. However, is there some sort of formula for XP or can someone provide an average XP for a floor? I'm at least competent enough to plug in numbers if I have those...

1-25 5:5 or 5:3 Small

30-35 5:5 Large

I missed out 26-29 because these can either be Small or Large depending on your preference.

If you end up with small gaps of floors in 1-25 range (because of different groups etc) it may not be easy to find groups willing to Small that odd floor. I would recommend Soloing. If you hate Soloing then just complexity 1 it.

Strategy for Small - Open all doors unless you get something that you need to farm a seed for, in which case it may not be worth the time spent. Kill GDs only.

Strategy for Large - Open all doors. Either kill all except DEs, or kill only GDs / when there is a lull in the moving from room to room / when group is low on food. Group's preference. However do note that killing only GDs may result in glitches where monsters (and even the boss sometimes!) are invisible and the main way to fix this is either to relog or to kill monsters in nearby rooms.

Some XP figures here for reference. Prestige 35. All XP given is before modifiers (+16 for large, + 13 for all rooms, +19 for 5:5 etc) A modifier for large should be about 140-150% without deaths, for small about 120-130%. I.e. the XP given is the "base XP" + "prestige XP" average. Your mileage may vary.

Small -

Floor 1 - 4113

Floor 25 - 6587

Floor 26 - 5822* (this was a duo dungeon. I give this here to illustrate that the player number/difficulty does affect the average XP)

Large -

Floor 27 - 28360

Floor 35 - 36785

Cheers.
