noble_aloof
i got called a noob at level 5 for using a shortbow. so i fletched a grave creeper longbow. it feels so sluggish but it has an overwhelming range bonus. is there an obvious better choice? i'm 94 range if that matters Staking: 4+ mil Current Status: Training defense

Grimy_Bunyip
longbow because longbows in dungeoneering aren't like longbows in runescape. Dungeoneering longbows have a speed rating of 5whereas runescape longbows have a speed rating of 4 a shortbow on rapid still fires 33% faster than a longbow on rapid in dungeoneering, but the longbow's accuracy lets me wield it through a platebody, and still hit accurately.i can't be bothered to make ranged armor during the mdidle of dungeon, so my ranged accuracy bonus would typically be low in the first place. anonymouse_
Longbow is better.

L0rdAki
Naw, not even then. Longbow ftw, if it is speed 5. Just make sure to put it on rapid and abuse the extra range. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
i_D_r
For the most part longbow, but actually for many of the lower level rooms and the monolith, I find the shortbow to be better.
Youmu
Longbow. If rapid, shortbows are speed 7 and longbows are speed 6. However, the longbow is MUCH more accurate than the shortbow. If you want an idea, the tier 5 shortbow has less accuracy than the tier 1 longbow. And if you wish to mix styles (which is pretty much a must on later floors), longbow is the better choice because of its huge accuracy. It's no surprise that you're called a noob when shortbow-ing. qeltar
Ranging is the most underpowered skill in Dun. It should be avoided except for bosses that really require it. And there, a longbow is much better because of a vastly higher ranged attack bonus. Youmu
Are you sure it's THAT underpowered? Speed 6 with such a HUGE accuracy (better than rapiers, in fact) makes up for the low ranged strength. Also, forgotten rangers are the hardest to kill of the 3 forgotten types, imo. I'm FORCED to use protect from ranged, meanwhile I can lolmage the warriors and lolrange the mages. Could be on F2P, but for members, ranging is a joke in Daemonheim. noble_aloof
thank you all, glad to see i've been using the right weapon all along. and qeltar, i've noticed that range is slightly underpowered but i still manage pretty well. once i find a high leveled smith to make me 125 of the best type of arrow i don't see myself being so weak. infact i often get the MVP title at the end of dungeons. aren't i special?
