It really changes the more you play......

all you people who say runescape was way better in the day, and its 10x better. Then go back play runescape classic or dont play runescape at all. If your not having fun dont play the game. If your playing the game and not having fun thats not the point it was created.

When I first started out Runescape, I followed my friend everywhere. I was afraid to go anywhere or do anything by myself. He showed me good training spots, got me weps and armor and walked me through quests.. I loved Runescape, and how medieval-like it was. I saw people selling rune for 200k, and I was amazed at how rich people were. Heck, I was afraid to leave the spot I was at till my friend got on. I used to hate Dark Wizards, they would kill you if you walked passed them :?

 

 

 

Now, 8 months and a membership later, Runescape doesn't have those same feelings...

 

I could buy 3 setd of full rune with my spare cash, and I can get to any place you ask me to go to within minutes. I have 126 quest points now too. I could kill a Dark Wizard 2 or 3 times over with my best hit. Runescape just doesn't have that medieval feeling anymore either, and the new feeling starts to fade.

 

 

 

Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days......

 

 

 

It's like this for alot of things in life. Be thankful for the wonderful human mind, and the memories it is capable of holding.

Playing runescape classic right now is nothing like playing back in the days. Don't mistake that we think that the game runescape classic was a better version, but instead say we miss the feeling of always having something to acheive, compared to now of the feeling of hmm, what should I do?

I miss the "newb feeling" sometimes too. But now the exitement can come from meeting high goals, and buying the same armour you once thought to be godlike. And the knowledge that some people look at you in that armour and think "Wow, I'd like that later..."-Just like you did then.

i would love to erase my memory of runescape and start it al over again (and being able to go back to this ac). Ah the old days, looking up to rune plate because of drag slayer req, always staying on the roads because of scary draynor manor and the wildy. love those times.

 

 

 

Thoug now being the medium leveled player with medium wealth is better, about a 1/8 of the people isee are higher level and 1/12 are richer looking, also gives a good feeling.

Yeah it aint the same but I have to say all these new updates have made the game better in many ways. Though I do miss being able to play RSC :(

See for me it all happened when my friend Brice told me about this game (it was at the end of RSC). I wandered around and had fun. Before I even know about different types of armor, I said to my friend Brice, "Man! I want that blue (rune) armor! It looks sweet!". Then he broke the tragic news about how it's really expensive and how hard it is to get. A couple of days later he screamed to me saying, "Hey! Guess what? Some really nice high level quit and gave me his full rune! Oh my God! I'm so happy!". Today (before I gave/staked all my stuff away), I could afford about 1,400 sets of full rune. H ow ridiculous. There's no "I want this" besides a stupid paper hat or evil rabbit mask. There's nothing to look up to that's within reach that isn't considered "rare". I too hated the dark wizards and now i go there and one hit they're dead.
