What to do with family gauntlets?

It really isn't too big of a deal since you can change them whenever you want, but in my opinion the most useful are the cooking gaunts.

Goldsmith gaunts can be used for great smith exp, but you'll probably use the cooking ones more often.

You can change them at any time, so it doesnt really matter hugely.

From experience Chaos Gauntlets are largely useless once you get beyond a certain mage level/unlock ancients.

Goldsmith are gr8 when u smelt gold

Cooking seem to be the best to have around all the time because cooking fishing tends to be something you do often with little planning and a lwoer burn rate is always welcome

Depends on what your next plan is. Are you going to be cooking, smithing or maging in the near future.

I went with Cooking myself even though I didn't cook for like a year after. The Chaos gaunts are only really used for cheap maging on metal dragons. There are better, faster methods to kill them though. So really it's out of the Smithing or Cooking.

I'd go with cooking since they are more versatile than the smithing gauntlets.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

alright, whats the benefit from the cooking gloves?

They lower level required to get a 100% cook rate on certain fish and foods.

Chaos gauntlets +30 damage on bolt spells

Goldsmithing gauntlets bump smithing xp for gold from 22.5 to 52.5

Personally, I keep mine as chaos.

I never ever cook. My level is high enough for all quests and acheivement diaries (I think) and it's cheaper to buy in ready cooked food so it's just a skill I don't train and can't see myself training in the near future. The only reason why I would is to be able to use swallow whole scrolls on sharks but that's a very minor aspect.

Whenever I smith I use gold gaunts as I find that method to be particularly relaxing and enjoyable (I don't superheat in between) but I rarely ever smith and when I do, it tends to be in big chunks so I can get it out of the way all at once.

Therefore my only other option is chaos. I find this useful in regular day-to-day activities, like yesterday I have a big irons task and bloods and deaths weren't buying (even at max) so I just bolted my way through it.

Essentially though, it boils down to which you can see yourself using the most.

give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever

Unless you are going for 99 cook, don't get cook gaunts. Chaos gaunts seem usless because you are melee anyways, and +30 dmg isnt a lot and most people dont use bolt spells anymore. Smith gaunts are the most money-saving, in the sense that if you are going to work on smithing you could get a really good xp/gp rate with gold. Since i already got 99 cook with my cook gaunts (very handy because you dont burn sharks after 97? 94? something and they were well used) but now I'm working on 99 smith so they are smith gaunts now. And it only costs 25k to change them to something else so this is in no way a permanent choice.

I had mine as cooking for a long time, but I really rarely fish or cook anymore.

I've had them as gold smithing for a long time more recently, probably will use them to superheat my 16k gold ores eventually.
