Ok. I'm not sure what happens that messes with the Fruit tree timers, but this has happened for literally as long as I can remember (2006-ish).

 

 

All the sites say the same thing, fruit trees are 880 minutes/14.6 hours. So why does it always take 19 hours or so to grow?

 

 

I planted a whole round of fruit trees at 4:20 ish am. It's now 10:22 pm.

 

4:20 + 14.6 hours =

 

7pm ish. Right? SO why does it look like my palms have like two more stages to go? Whats going on? I've always wondered this, but never posted a topic yet.

the time they give is just an average

 

i have had trees take 3 days

 

it is a pain especcialy if you have the farmers watch them cause then it can go on forever

If you pay for your trees to get protected, then them getting diseased and then cured makes them miss a growth stage, theoretically if they kept getting sick they would never mature.

I always pay for them... And you're serious? Its an average? Wow thats bs man. I mean that makes sense.

Even if you pay a gardener to watch your trees or crops, they can still get diseased and cured and therefor miss a couple of growing cycles. Also, there is the timing of when you plant vs. when the growing timer ticks. Game updates can mess up the growing times as well.

 

I do not know the definitive answer but I do know that those times can vary wildly. Once it took well over 24 hours for me to grow a banana tree.

Wow L I never knew that planted trees could still get diseased... I thought they never got diseased ever. That explains things.

I do 1 curry tree fruit run per day and im fine with growths. That get me 15k xp/day + ~50k profit with giant ent >:]

This is why you should consider supercomposting even if you pay the farmer. It'll reduce the chance of getting diseased by a large amount.

 

However, I've personally only encountered a tree that took more than a day to grow once or twice. For super long trees like calquats I just wait two days to make sure and forget the super compost.

Doing runs every 24h I'd probably get 1/20 that weren't done. When I switched to every 36h (to line it up with my calquats) I don't think I've ever had one not be fully grown.

I take offense to this statement.

 

I've also heard that when you plant something, and then when you log out can affect the timers. I don't have any proof behind this, but I've been told by a lot of people that this can affect the time.

 

I've had up to 36 hours for fruit trees as well.

this really needs to be fixed or changed somehow..its really annoying to have one tree that isnt grown when the other 4 are.
