General Morrowind Topic

Featured Replies

I think the reason you don't hear about it is it's a little obfuscated to do it on the xbox and you need to have it modded, which a small percentage of morrowind players have

And wasn't it kind of obvious you were the Nerevar? :P

And as for GOTY on xbox it's a platinum hit and was in the bargain bin for 20 dollars

hah, yeah it was very obvious. pretty much a generic story, but fun to play anyways :D

cheaper than on pc then, unless the tag i saw in best buy was on an old copy of it back when the goty edition first came out. that would be sitting there a long time though. or the tag was just wrong. just checked on their website, they dont even have goty edition for pc, just for xbox.

I know this is a small deviation from the topic, but have you ever "claimed a house" in the game? I always kill the dumb shopkeeper (she sells things for way more than the others) and take over her shop as my own personal storage. It's fun decorating too.

On the PC I had Nerano Manor, but I'm thinking of taking Hlaalu instead (where the guy was murdered)

Either way I'm going to start a new character >.<

I had some pretty dumb choices with my character classes and whatnot, esp. having Blunt, Axe, and Longsword in my major/minors

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

yep, being able to mod the game is a must. and then having the console for if the game has a bug, which in a game this huge there is bound to be some.

i cant wait for oblivion either *points at sig*. ive been checking up on it for about the bast 6 months now, and its almost here :D the very first date they gave was november 22, but that was pushed back. i really dont know what it is supposed to be now. i was thinking about buying a new computer when it comes out so i can run it really good 8) . small price to pay for playing the game.

According to Amazon it won't be out until March 31, 2006

I know the price. I pay it gladly.

****TRIBUNAL SPOILER****

after killing daguth ur (cant remember name exactly) and figuring out you are the nerarvine (sp?), its pretty cool. you are almost a god. but after killing almelexia, you basically are better than a god, even if you arent immortal. not everyday a mortal kills something immortal Razz . then you get to kill vivec after that (if you choose to, at this point he could go crazy like almelexia, so you should kill him. they dont give you any dialogue for this, you have to roleplay it yourself), and dont forget to soul trap him with azuras star. worth 5,000,000 gold Shocked .

****TRIBUNAL SPOILER****

 You can kill Amalexia? Sweet! I tried to kill Vivec once. But, it didn't work out too well... :(

"aquiring" houses is one of the funnest parts of the game  . theres a lot of them just sitting there, with a generic npc that isnt important in anyway, so why not

get varying reports from varying sources, but thats the latest i heard. the earliest i heard was in time for christmas, but they wont rush anything. if its not done, they wont put it out until it is.

last night i was thinking about what i would do to be able to play oblivion right this second, and i decided cutting off one of my small toes was worth the price. if i got a new computer to play it on also, i would give both of my small toes. :D

Lol. Yeah. I do that too. If I find someone who's house I like, I just kill them and take it. I heart decorating it! :P But, you also have a stronghold built. If you join one of the three major houses (Hlaluu, Redoran, or Telvanni) and if you get high enough in the ranks, you can have your own stronghold. I joined House Telvanni and got a sweet wizard's tower. The bad thing about it is you can't choose where it's built. For House Telvanni, you get a tower out in the middle of nowhere in the Ashlands. (Built on Uvirith's grave) I don't remember where Redoran or Hlaluu build their strongholds but I know they're both out in the middle of nowhere as well.

I don't think I would go *that* far  I'm kind of in a bad way with it being released this year though. In my first year of university and timewise, I really can't afford to play. Studying must come first. I can definately wait for the release, I'm very busy with school but I know I won't be able to stop myself from playing once I buy it

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

Ive spent many hours on Morrowind including the expansions and its one of the best games ever according to me.

Tried to revive it recently but it just wasnt the same.

About the assassin problem its just weird cuz Ive gotten it the first time Ive rested, even on level 1 characters.

After reading your topic I started to feel Oblivion abstinence... oh well hopefully I wont need to upgrade too much.

I've beaten all three main quests and am head of every Guild I could get my paws on (cuz I'm a khajiit, I have no hands! :D) I think you might wanna level up before he comes to you :P. Cuz even if he came, you would die :D.

Oblivion comes out on the 22nd of December, 2005.... Next month! And it will be out for Xbox360, and the computer.

Oh srry for the double post but this is bigger.

For those of you that are talking about houses:

In Paldin (been awhil and forget city names, its north of the starting villiage, over some mountains) you can get a khajit girlfriend. After doing quests for her, she gives you the key to her house, and you can store stuff in there, sleep, and the items in the containers always restock.

I have to say that the Telvanni stronghold is SWEET. But, I say that because I like the uniquenss of the wizards' towers. Some people can't stand the architecture. I'm sure the Redoran and Hlaluu stronholds are just as cool. You have to build your stronghold in three stages (I believe it's three). The completed strongholds are so cool. :D
