My house plans

Recommended Posts

So, I've thought about what my house should look like and figured I'd ask your opinion. Of course I do have a POH at this time but it's just the nescessities. I'll be needing a chapel, which I haven't built yet in my present house, for 99 prayer. So before I go wasting mills on something I'll tear down later anyway I thought I'd use the house planner. This little ingenious piece of coding by RuneHQ allows you to plan your dream house, without any costs. So here's what mine looks like.

The requirements:

- at least one of all the rooms and at least two bedrooms.

- at least two combat rooms for different combat types

- combat rooms must be situated in the dungeon

- a garden at least two rooms' size

- a chapel directly north of a garden ( this garden will house my house portal for easy access to train prayer )

- a minimum amount of doors sticking out at sides not facing a garden (basically a back door without a use)

- there must be an oubliette directly under the throne room

- there must be stairs close to the oubliette for easy access back up

These requirements led me to this result:

N.B.: The dots say which room leads to which dungeon room (colours are the same), also one of the gardens will be a menagerie.

What I'd like is to hear your thoughts on the subject: what do you think could be better? do you agree with my requirements? and of course I'd like to know WHY! So please elaborate :)

Now if you think 'Gee, I'd like to design a house of my own! Where does one find such a planner?' then I have the answer for you in the form of this pretty link: RuneHQ House Planner. Credits to RuneHQ and Oblivion590 for making this planner.

Comment, rate but be sure to elaborate!

I can't say I see the need for 5 gardens. Also, I like having two portal rooms and my altar right by my house entrance, with my glory a step away from the altar. Very practical.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

RHQ's house planner looks like a kid took a rainbow [cabbage] and then drew it in ms paint, use RSB&B's here.

This is my house plan:

mypoh.png

-7 skill halls for all 7 monster heads, and all 7 armour sets. I know decorative and smithed sets are different hotspots but I want to only have 1 armour set per room. 2 of every trophy fish is also planned for upsatirs.

- 3 quest halls for all 3 guild items, all 3 swords, and all 3 map sizes. The 2 ground floor quest halls are the only rooms with doors that exit outside the house.

- 3 gardens for a basement enterance (northwest) a house portal (northeast) and a decoration (southeast). Each garden hotspot contains a different plant, meaning every possible plant is used except for the dead tree. The menagerie has no habitat, meaning the 'floor' is just grass, so it all looks like 1 courtyard. The house portal is beside a portal room and altar, and 1 room away for another portal room, the menagerie, and a quest hall for a hung glory, for practicality. I don't like formal gardens so I didn't include any.

- 3 games rooms for every possible game.

- 2 combat rooms for a combat ring and a balance beam.

- 2 studies for an eagle and a demon lecturn, although I never makes tabs.

- 2 bedrooms so I can have a servant.

Good idea for the glory, hadn't thought about that, I'll probably switch the portal room for a quest hall and shorten the dungeon a bit. Thanks :)

And I'd need 2 garden at least, 1 garden is going to be a meangerie and the other two are probably just going to look nice. I'll look into them again, however.

I tried understand it, but I just kept on wat-ing all the time.

WAT

10/10 even though i can't comprehend it.

You forgot to elaborate. 0/10 for you.

Nice bedrooms on the corners L, needs a bit more win though

Well where else would I put them? :P

Thanks for taking this seriously! However, I don't quite agree with the setup of your house. I'd really like a dungeon, which your house is lacking. Also, I am not looking for that many quest halls, skill halls. I'd like to see how a menagerie is going to look with the other gardens, probably will look nice. Contrary to you I am not looking to put in every kind of plant, every kind of mounted head, fish or painting. I just want a functional and nice looking house. So it'll probably contain the crème de la crème of what is available in furniture. So though I see where you're going I am afraid that I am looking for a completely different house.

That's too bad if this particular post about their dream house is bad. I mean what bad about posting something like this? Although few of similar posts are spam, it's not fair if we consider something as amazing as this as SPAM.
