What to bring to Jad Slayer Task

I got me a 280 Thzaar task *wink*. Meaning I'll hopefully have a second firecape soon. I need some help with the gear though.

 

My idea so far:

Guthans + Enhanced Excalibur for healing.

Full slayer helm + whip + defender + soul wars cape + barrow gloves for 22s, 45s and 90s.

D hally for 180s (I'm very good at trapping).

Karils top and bottom + ranger boots + archer ring + rune cbow with broad bolts for Jad and 360s.

20 spots for pots (only for 360s and Jad): 2 sara brews + 2 ranger pots + 16 super restores

 

I'm planning on using curses, since only magic and ranged protect are needed and some deflect damage is always welcome. My prayer level is 82.

 

 

I'd appreciate any suggestions, but please stay on topic.

Tip for those that have problem with prayer switching:

Keep repeating "Magic" or "Ranged" really fast depending on what prayer you're using; prevents switching to the other prayer when you didn't have to.

More sara brews, bring like 6-7 (you wont need them all but that way you can speed stuff up and don't care if you mess up). Don't bother with guthans it slows you down.

 

Don't bother with hally, just melee the 180s. They do heal but you easily outhit that. Could still bring d hally to spec the 360s since ranged is sloooow.

 

Just remember, at your levels the waves are a joke you can easily tank stuff and don't worry about supplies, the only kinda hard part is jad.

I'm sure I want to use guthans and D Hally. Should i just hally the 360s and jad (only bring cbow to attract healers)?

More Sarabrews for sure. If you bring two, one or two mistakes means gameover. Also, Guthans and Excaliber are not reliable enough for healing.

I only need brews for emergencies and Jad; for the rest I use Guthans + excalibur. 2 brews give me 8 doses = 1600 lp (or 160 old hp). I doubt Jad will hit me for that much, since I've done this before.

Guthans and Excalibur are reliable if you know a few tricks. For example: if you trap 180, you can run out and hit him with guthans before he can hit back. 180s can heal and they often do. Meaning that in the end (when I will need healing the most), I'll have a reliable healing method after every wave. And if not, I'll just use my free rechargeable shark. And if that's used up too, I'll just block em around a rock and rest. And if all else fails, I can use a single dose of brew and then resort to the aforementioned methods.

If you are confident enough, go ahead. Just remember that 180s can heal in the place of an attack, so they will not heal themselves if you trap them and employ a hit and run method.

unless you horribly mess up a lot, the guthans won't be needed, the Excalibur will be enough. Also, crossbow + broad bolts would kill the 360s faster then a hally other then the spec

If you want more opinions... ditch Guthan, take Verac's skirt + arma plate and range it all on a crystal bow with rune cbow in inv (diamond bolts equipped, for Jad). Wear sw cape + ranger boots etc. 3 range pots, no brews, 10 pray pots or so. If you want to do it fast, more pray pots and eagle eye (not on curses obviously) or leech range. For healing, rocktails. Cheaper, and no need to restore/pot range after. You can take 13 rocktails on the aforementioned inv, or 12 and an unholy book/bss for Jad.

 

Why crystal bow? On longrange, it hits beyond a 180 and a 360. And it looks cool.

For those interested, I had waaaay too many super restores I used maybe 7 or so. Also I brought magic potions instead of ranged potions lol!
