So I scored a brand new Canon 5D Mark II with the kit lens (24-105mm f/4.0 L IS USM). This now means that for the next 12 months, I will only be eating 2-minute noodles and toast. Also, my stomach hurts from selling my kidney to pay for this camera.

Anyway, I've had it for three days now and I've taken 2,674 photos. Here are a few that I like:

(above) unknown band. I was going to ask, but there was a crowd buying their CD's... wait a minute... I could have looked at a CD. Gosh, I'm dumb *facepalm*

 

NONE of these photos are colour-corrected. The first image has very minor noise and highlight correction. The second image has noise and chromatic aberration correction. The rest are direct uploads (sJPEG's that I shoot alongside RAW).

I was also on manual focus the whole time :D

Great photography... All the band ones are great.

I'm in love with the first two. I think you've used the negative space wonderfully on the leaf photo, the whole photo seems delicate and bautiful, interestingly composed and has nice lighting. Brisbane city is my wallpaper as well, but that isn't saying much as I have a rotation of 50 :razz:. I think the colours are what do the city shot for me, once again the are nice and muted. Lovely shots.

 

I agree with Sam when he says you captured the essence of live music, on the band photos. I think they are full of life and energy, an d really telll me something abuot the band + people in it.

 

I've only got a pidly 20D, with the stock standard 18-55mm and a 50mm.

You have collected really very good photos. I like the one slang which is locate on the guitar. I think that You have used the good pixel and also lance for your camera. I wish that I will also capture some photos as well as far and come with at this stage as soon.
