spirit dagonnoth or lava titan?

im 83 summoning have been for a while, im going to start slayer soon and i use fighting summoning creatures for some tasks (dusties, dagonnoths etc multi combat places)

 

i was just wondering which one is better to use because the both are 83 sum req

 

 

SPIRIT DAGONNOTH

Fights (level 148) Controlled

Chance of attacking again without delay

 

SCROLL:

Ranged attack deals up to 180 damage and stuns

 

 

LAVA TITAN

Fights (level 148) Strength

Chance of hitting 50 extra damage each time

Boosts Firemaking +10

Boosts Mining +10

Teleport to Lava Maze

 

SCROLL:

Magic attack that also drains enemy's Special Attack

By the looks of it, dagannoths look better. But I've never used either for combat, so don't take my word for it.

I've used Spirit Dagganoth.It's decent and the scroll is very cheap.Try both, see whichever you like most.

dagannoth from my experience is much better. i've never used the scrolls, but its normal attacks along with the ferocious special hit decently on aviansies (only place i used it really)

thanks for the info and yeah i will buy scrolls and just put them in slayer helm

 

but for the response im guessing dagonnoths :P but i will try both and of course i shall see more responses

Don't put them into the helmet.I've seen people die from that at Dusties, while recharging the helm.I find it easier to put the "Special Move" on the summoning icon and just spam click it.

You can't charge a full slayer helm?

By charge they mean put more scrolls into the helm, that requires unequipping the helm and if you do that mid-combat at dusties you're in trouble.

so top it off before you go in, and if there happens to be a lull in the slaughter, top it off again. otherwise let it run out.

 

but you should put them in the helmet if you're going to be using scrolls, since each scroll fired from the helmet does not subtract from the special move bar, and is thus a free stronger attack.

The spirit dagannoth's double attack is fairly rare, whereas the lava titan's 50 damage is fairly common. So the lava titan can deal more damage with its normal attack. However, the dagannoth's Spike Shot special is much better than the ebon thunder, so if you're using scrolls, you want a dagannoth.

When I got the level to use spirit dags and lava titans, I used them both pretty extensively. I found that the spirit dag's ferocious ability activated really often. I eventually stuck to the dag.

 

Not saying you're wrong, as I've not tested it or anything. Just my experience with it.

Considering how cheap the dagannoth and its scrolls are, it'd definitely be a more welcome addition than the Lava Titan any day.
