crashNburn
depends on the monster u get it from According to a Jmod post about which monsters drop level 4 scrolls, quite a few also drop level 3's, eg. metal dragons. Troacctid
Some puzzles only appear on Elite clues. So if you get one of those, you know it's lv4. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
crashNburn
Yeah, the above is the only way to get around it. Normally you could compare the hints you're getting to the already hefty clue database here, but I've already done a level 3 and received a new hint, so that won't work. If you get a scan orb(I think that's what it's called) hint, you definitely know you've got an elite scroll. Bladewing
Yup I'll confirm that you can get level 3s from monsters that do drop level 4s. I got a level 3 from a Rex. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Owned_Nex
Another tell-tale sign is that if you see a little blue orb on it, it is a LvL4 Dungeoneering isn't a skill. Bladewing
Another tell-tale sign is that if you see a little blue orb on it, it is a LvL4If you do see a blue orb on it, it is a L4, but you can get L4s without the circle. The circle means it's a scanner clue, which are exclusively L4, but not every L4 clue is a scanner clue.
