Snipers_end
If I wanted to powerslay is it very helpful to get 79 slayer for the titans or could I just stop at 70 and use locusts for it?
Kimberly
I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you trying to get to 79 summoning, not slaying? If so, what do you plan to use it for? Titans are nice, but in most situations they can be replaced by bunyips (for non boss things/dks+guthan) or fruit bat (saradomin/armadyl GWD). I'm not sure what you would want at 79 slayer, though, since nothing is unlocked at that level.
Troacctid
Yes, get 79 summoning. Titans are significantly better than locusts. Most of the combat familiars you get as you level up will be better than locusts as well. Obtaurian
You should always be trying to level summoning. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

I believe he is asking what would be more beneficial for him if he trains Slayer; getting 79 Summoning for titans or just using locusts. Personally I think that bunyips will work out fine. Most of the higher leveled slayer creatures don't really need you to fight a boss-like monster (even mithril dragons you won't need a titan for). Mythrandir
Titans are nice and all, but really you're going to be using a bunyip for most of the time and a BOB for the rest. On the tasks where the monster is weak enough that you don't need a yip to heal, the titan usually doesn't even attack the monster until it's already dead. However, you're going to want to get summoning up sometime to get to 88 in the long run (and above), so you might as well use your charms when it's convenient.
