Silk Hood

Featured Replies

Recently I was doing a large 5:5 dung and my teammates all had silk hoods on and so i asked them what it does and they said hides you from certain monsters so now I have a couple of questions about it.

1. What exactly does silk hood do.

2. What is the best way to get one.

3. Is it worth binding over prom pl8body.

1. Makes all skele meleers, skele rangers, forgotten warriors, and rangers, and zombies unaggressive. If there is a forgotten mage, it will make them aggressive again.

2.Just keep dungoneering.

3. Yes

1. Silk Hood causes all non-mage humans and undead in the room to be unable to see you. However, you can still be detected by animals and mages. Furthermore, if a mage is in the room, he has the ability you reveal your guise, causing everyone in the room to be able to detect you. Attacking any creature will also cause them to be able to detect you.

2. The best way to get one is from the furnished and deeper abandoned floors. You must be playing on at least C6, I believe, and the more members in your team, the more likely night spiders will show up (I've had 2 in a room before)

3. If you usually key for Larges, or you want to not be piled as much, it is definitely worth binding a silk hood, as armour can always be crafted in a dungeon.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Which floor is are you most likely to find a such spider which drop the shadow silk hood?

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

Spiders appear on floors 12+ (all except frozen)

i'd just like to point out that they are called "night spiders" not shadow spiders. they are the sort of purple / black ones.

1) Makes it so Hill giants, Zombies, Skeletons(excluding mage Skeletons), forgotten warriors, and rangers can't see you. They will fight back when you attack them of course, and if there is a forgotten mage in the room that spots you, the effect is negated as it uses a spell on you to 'remove the shadows' from you, so to speak.

2) Just play large maps on Abandoned of Furnished floors, and kill every night spider you see

3) if you rush/do keys a lot/can make your own decent armor, yes
