Magic training: plank making

Featured Replies

For Xp weekend, I decided to make a lot of herbs and seconds I have lying around into pots. This will take roughly 1 hour.

For the rest of the time, I have no real incentive to train something. As I was training construction for the shattered heart rocks, I ran out of planks. These are currently unbuyable in the GE, so I decided that during XP weekend, I might do some lunar plank making, then using the planks for construction xp.

How to tackle this? What kind of plank to make? Oaks for fast construction xp, or is mahogany better? How about the costs? I'm currently buying astrals, but I have time to RC some more if I can't buy enough. I have several K of every log that I can use in construction (oak, teak, mahogany).

I'm going to use plank make for the bonus weekend too, and since I last checked (when I bought the materials) mahogany planks are best, because you'll actually profit and get a nice magic xp rate. I don't know if they are the best for training construction, but for magic training purposes, mahogany is the best.

I'd say mahogany is a good option to train construction with during the XP weekend, since it's the best plank to use and gives faster xp, so more you'll also get more bonus xp.

There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.

I did quite a bit of Plank-making when I got 99 Magic, and Mahog planks are the way to go.

It seems a bit pricey, but you'll likely profit, especially if you cut the logs yourself.

As a side-question, can I take noted planks to my house, and have the butler un-note them? And....what to make. Is there a hot-spot that uses mahogany planks only?

you can have your butler un-note planks, i am not sure what is a good mahogany thing to make though.

EDIT: according to the con tables mahogany tables use the most planks in one go ( that would be dinning tables).

The butler already fetches planks from the bank, so no point in bringing noted ones.
