brad1431
I am almost 75 prayer, and I have no idea how to train it. I want to kill bigger boss monsters, but my prayer isnt helping me right now. Espcially since now I am 94 herby I can make super prayers. So how do I train prayer, I hear about gilded altars, but have no idea about construction, I am level 60 and hate the skill. After that I have about 600 dragon bones, and I guess I need to get curses, and to do blood runs deep for those 3 - 150K lamps to get my prayer up to like 78, and then I have all those dragon bones to use too. So how do I get construction up from 60 to the level need for gilded altar, how do I get an altar, then how do I use it to train prayer. Also how hard/long is blood runs deep? Kimberly
If you browse the Events forum on the RSOF you'll often see things for "Open gilded altars", usually done in Yanille due to their proximity to banks. If you hate construction (as you said you have), this is a wonderful alternative to gaining the levels and money needed for your own altar. What gilded altars do with two lit burners is multiply the experience you'd get from one bone's worth. With both burners lit, which is the only way you should be training on an altar, you will get 350% more in experience. Once both burners are lit, all you need to do is use the bones on the altar. The gilded altar technically isn't the best EXP you can get per bone. The best would be the Ectofunctus. However, that method is very labor intensive and those arguing for efficiency would advise against it, because the money saved with the Ecto is arguably lost in the extra time it takes. Blood Runs Deep is pretty easy, just time consuming.
Vulxai
Your prayer actually is pretty decent. A lot of boss hunting teams and such just care that you have 70 to bless graves, however a higher prayer never hurt. You can easily find other houses on the RSOF (as Kimberly mentioned) to use someone elses altar. Just fill your inventory (and a war tort) with dragon bones, and sacrifice them on the altar. Dragon bones are the preferred bone to use. Blood Runs Deep, IIRC, isn't that long, nor hard. The toughest part is the mother at the end, and even then it's still not tough to beat. I did it with levels lower than yours. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Blake
You will want to get 75 before you finish Blood Runs Deep though, the 3x150k only works on skills 75+
brad1431
yeah I am 17K from 75 herby, then I will do blood runs deep, that should get me to 78. And I have almost 700 drag bones. But even if I find someone with an "open altar", what do I do exactly, how many marentill do I need and what do I need to "light the burners"? manitstinks
They will usually light it for you. Go to w31 if u can't find any on forums btw. Assuming u want 78-95 prayer, you need almost 30k drAgon bones so get some money
brad1431
That wont happen for a long time, I just spent $30M on getting herby from 89-94. I only have about 92M left, and I want to get it well back over $100M. I have 23K pure ess to make into bloods or deaths, or astrals depending on price at the time. But I know in the long run to effectively boss hunt, I need higher prayer, and soul cape, but I dont think either should be too hard, I just hate long quests, which I assume they both are
