Raisedbyapes
So I am going to get herb to 85 right away. But what are the odds of getting a +4 boost to get some extr. attack and str. Iam not looking to make alot of ext. but would like a few for solo gwd runs. And I have nevered strewed. Is there a certain amount of brown spice to use to get better odds of getting the +4 boost. Any help would be great. Thanks

transcript80
On a side-note, can you stew to +4, and use a greenman's ale(m) to get the +2 making your total +6? I'm asking this because stewing to +6 is a pain, and I need it for Seers elite diary. After xp weekend I burned all my herb supplies and a lot of cash, so buying some extra herblore levels is on hold for some time now... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Assume Nothing
A few facts. Bonuses like that do not stack. You cannot use a Greenman's Ale (m) on top of a stew. The chance of getting a +6 is roughly 1 in every 6 (3) dose stews, assuming you get a little unlucky, it usually gets the level at around the 8-10th stew or so. You can log out into the lobby to reset the timer, so you can technically make a thousand extreme sets with a single stew, albiet a little annoying. You should also note that negative stews DO stack, and you should wait until it returns to the normal level, or use greenman's ale to restore your level, before you try stewing any further. transcript80
Darn...I only got a +5 once. I use restores to restore any negative herb boosts, so no waiting times. I only need to make one extreme ranging pot for the diary.... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

From personal experience, the chance of getting a +6 boost is much rarer than that. It is better to think of the +6 boost as impossible, considering the time and effort of getting each dose of spice of a certain colour. Get one more level, then try for a +5 boost (and even then, it will take a few tries). ~ W ~
xpx
getting +6 shouldn't really be even considered as it's next to impossible, for most skills it would take much less time to actually get the one level than to get +6 from stew, and even then you'd have to be lucky to not lose it in a second. +5, however, isn't common, but common enough to be useful, being about 10% chance. For potion making, +4 or +5 are completely fine as you can log out after every 2 invs of pots and thus keep the boost for any amount of potions. First to 99 Farming on 27. Assume Nothing
boost don't stack sadly It would be reasonably fair if they did stack, but the lobby thing didn't work.
