Solo Dungeoneering Training

Mischlings

Recommended Posts

I've come back from a hiatus and I'm looking at training up dungeoneering. I prefer doing things solo, so don't tell me to get a team -- I want to do as much as I can solo.

I'm only 24 dungeoneering at the moment, so I have a few questions about a few things.

1) Should I go and unlock the resource dungeons as soon as I can for the xp?

2) Should I do the first floors (say, first 50%) complexity 1 then switch to complexity 6 for the rest? Or should I stick to complexity 6 on all floors for now? At what level does rushing through the lower floors become worth it?

3) Are medium dungeons worth doing solo or should I stick with small?

Like I said, I plan on sticking to solo for now, so I'd prefer answers that directly deal with soloing. Telling me to go with a team is useless as I want to play solo.

Honestly, at level 24 you might just be better off doing ToG and Resource Dungeons until your a higher level. At higher levels for solo, it's definitely worth doing C1 (complexity 1) for 1-10...I usually do the Ice Floors on C1... Then I do up to 20~ or so on C6, but I semi-rush through it. For the highest floors, do medium dungeons, C6 of course, kill all the monsters* and unlock all the rooms. I'd say around level 50 it becomes worth it to rush the low floors.

*Some people like ignoring some monsters to get through the dungeon faster; personally, for the highest floors I want the max exp I can, so I kill them all. Plus I rarely run into higher level monsters.... If I saw a level 130+ monster while doing a Med dungeon, I might skip killing it if I can.

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

So, what I'm thinking I'll do is go and find all the resource dungeons that I can, play Tears of Guthix, then continue raiding. So, the best method for going through the floors (once I reach level 50 or so) would be about the first 40% C1, the next 40% C6 small, and the last 20% C6 medium? Even for solo? I haven't tried any medium dungeons solo, but some say that they're a little too large to be efficient when playing solo.

1-40 can easily be efficiently done soloing.. Medium floors, C6. Idc if you don't wanna hear it: get teams after 40.

At your level it's best to maximise xp per floor (though it'd be better to ignore primal warriors unless you have found a large stack of combat runes) until you can get some decent xp on medium floors 25+. After level 50, it'll be much easier (with two binds).

Actually if YOU scroll up, you will see that OP doesn't say anywhere that he's F2P, and that below his avatar it says P2P.

I am P2P -- that's what coming back from the hiatus meant.

As for the skill, I want to train it, I was just looking for good ways to without having to use a team (it's been forever since I've done things in the game in teams, and I hate working with other people unless I have to).

So, if I understand what others are saying, for now I should do c6 small or medium floors until I get up to level 50 or so, then start rushing lower floors so I can get to the higher xp floors sooner. Does that sound good? Also, when I get a second bind, should I bind a platebody or leatherbody? I've read that some people do the second for solo to give you a little more flexibility with defence, but I'm not sure.

I always do solo dungeons, I used tears of guthix and penguin points mainly to get to around 45. I don't dungeoneer efficiently, but I really enjoy it which I think is more important. I always do C6 Medium dungeons, simply because a bigger dungeon means more resources and more exp, so I find it easier to handle knowing I can make a full set of armour before the boss and make a decent familiar to help.

Also, i bound a promethium platebody and 2h (thanks to Dung Smith clan chat) and usually just use protect from mage against powerful mages, there usually aren't many.
