SpikeStr1ke Posted September 17, 2010 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Basically this is what im wondering...should i just do armored zombies until 95 attack so i can start on my long term (and i do mean LONG) goal of getting 95 att/str at the same time through slayer. You will also make a decent amount of money if you pick up the noted drops as well, but it will affect your xp-rate if you do. If you need any tips feel free to ask me. Nifflin Posted September 17, 2010 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Slayer isn't much slower either. If you slay, you should be using piety anyways. All you lose is part of the % boost from salve (e) and void. Even that isn't totally lost however due to the slayer helm. As far as money goes, slayer won't make you as much. Personally I did AZ's as part of my 99 defence last year and regret it a little bit (they did allow me to make 17M and snipe a DFS when it crashed) but I lost out on slayer levels that I'm now trying to claw back. Low C Posted September 17, 2010 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Going to give my opinions on this since the numbers say one thing. On paper Armoured Zombies are better for fast xp. However, I hate grinding combat, I would rather do various tasks that I enjoy and that are very profitable and drop good charm rates rather than camp a monster. Doing slayer you are training an extra skill which unlocks great monsters to kill. Abyssal demons have awarded me 11 whip drops and I'm only 93 slayer. That is about 37.5m alone from one task, other tasks give great drops also and If I had to guess I would fathom that I've made in upwards of 100m+ from slayer and I'm barely half way to maxing it.
