Summoning and amidoinitrite?

Anyways sorry for making yet ANOTHER topic *shockhorror*, I kinda need some more advice, this time not on what to do with an abyssal head, or if i should sell dfs for claws (which I incidentally did and found it an epic decision, so thanks all) but on summoning and powerslaying.

Ok so when the BXPW hit in March I kinda went and got 90 summoning, then life got crappy so I took a hiatus etc etc, came back this month, been doing nothing but powerslaying. This brings me to my first point (and this next bit is a little long).

My first point is thus: Am I doing the powerslaying "correctly" or whatever you'd call it. Kinda just want advice on my tasks, I am kinda set in my ways atm, but I am going to listen to any and all suggestions.

This, is what Kura can assign me...... oh and note, that when I get the next 270K slayer exp and get dark beasts, they will be pietyed in kura's dungeon. And of course I always use claw specs when I can, and use my super attacks and strengths - so when I say nothing it means I don't piety or cannon.

Aberrant Spectres - Cannon

Abyssal Demons - Piety

Black Demons - Cannon

Black Dragons - Cannon

Blue dragons - Nothing

Bloodvelds - Cannon

Dagannoths - Cannon

Desert Strykewyrms - Cannon

Dust Devils Nothing

Fire giants - Cannon

Gargoyles - Piety

Greater Demons - Nothing

Hellhounds - Piety

Iron Dragons - Piety

Jungle Strykewyrms - Cannon

Living Rock creatures - Cannon

Mithril Dragons - Piety

Nechryaels - Piety

Skeletal wyverns - Piety

Spiritual Mages Nothing

Steel Dragons - Piety

Suqahs - Cannon

Terror dogs Nothing

TzHaar piety sometimes

Warped Tortoises Nothing

Waterfiends Piety

So amidoinitrite? I am making profit though.

Right, now I'm kinda catching a friend called AinSophAur as we kinda had a race for 90 slayer, I lost as I had hiatus, and so by the end of this month I'm hoping to hit 93 slay to be back on par with him. This however, raises the question, from 90 - 93 he made the charms to get 93-96 summoning. So therefore I'm hoping to extrapolate this. I do use that charm pattern thing that people keep linking to. I can get 92 summoning, so I have a few questions:

1. Should I get 92 summoning, then then each slayer level use up my charms?

2. Get my slayer levels to catch my friend then use all my charms?

3. Should I get each summoning level when I can?

Also when I hit 92:

1. Would it be better to do wolpertinger or Swamp titans.

2. Am I right to use logic to dictate that Barker Toads > Arctic Bear.

3. Am I right to do the best pouches I can eg: Barkers, then Unicorns, then Wolpers/Swamps, then Geysers?

If people could answer either part of this, it would be great. <3:

Terror dogs, warped tortoises and thzaar, are commonly skipped tasks. You can't pray on terror dogs, torts have meh charm drops, and thzaar are slow exp (the fcaves task is okay exp, but has absolutely no charms/effigies).

Smages provide okay profit/hour, but drop no effigies or charms, and are mediocre exp. Jungle/desert strykes also provide some profit, but are also not great exp (and do not drop many charms). Skeletal wyverns have a good crimson charm drop, but are slow slayer exp. These are all possible tasks to skip, though it's perfectly fine if you do them.

Hellhounds can be cannoned in taverly resource dungeon. Dark beasts can also be cannoned, in the temple of light. This is faster than slaying them in kuradels, but many people find kuradels dungeon to be more relaxing (they're basically afkable there).

2 additions:

  •
  • Dusties can be cannoned in the Smokey well
  • Greater Demons in Kuradel's dungeon with Rune darts and Fero ring goes by super fast.

Can't help with the rest as I haven't got the experience for high level Summoning/Slaying.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

Thanks for the opinions guys :)

Yeah I sometimes do skip them. Terror dogs are often assigned at only 60's or max I've had is 70. So invent of food, few well placed claw specs, job done, and they drop good blues. Torts are meh, but I do them for the simple reason of quick task, and they drop the shells which are worth 15K per each one. And yeah Tzhaar are slow... Though I'll be doing jad tasks when I hit extremes.

I agree mostly with the middle point, they're tasks that I'm indifferent about really. Cannon does add alot to the speed of the tasks though :D

And thanks for that! I did know dark beasts really, but it's not really worth having to work to such a tight inventory space until I get a yak. 5 spaces for cannon and balls, 4 spaces for mourner clothes. I really don't feel like grinding for the elf tele.

Cheers for that! I have cannoned dusties before and they're ok, might start doing it again. They're a bit meh XD

And yeahs, friends tell me all about it and I've got a massive stock of rune (p+) from dragons.

don't forget to use a combat familiar on multicombat tasks.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

So amidoinitrite?

It's all wrong.

It should be spelled amyl nitrite.

Only inject yourself with it after cyanide poisoning.

If you're not bursting or barraging in CT then do not mage slay. (With your melee stats your only exception would be Ice Strykewyrms with fire surge once you hit the mage lvl)

Mage slaying is too slow xp, I was considering doing that myself too, tried, not worth the slow xp, rather go burst/barrage for charms once you hit your goal slay lvl.

Piety everything, at your def with veracs skirt and prossy top + Uni there is no good reason for you not to piety every task. I tried pietying only a select few tasks...it's like slow mode I don't know how you can do that anyway. Otherwise it seems youäre doing just fine.

BTW! I enjoy using spec restores with claws, for abbys I'll bring a BOB with 5-8 sharks, 12-16 spec restores, super att, strs the rest pray pots and then just spec like hell (every 2 or 3rd abby). Makes quick work for the abbys and personally, I just love the claw spec. - Fun!

Mage is about as fast as non-pietying with a whip.

Also, if you piety/turmoil, do it in bandos+fcape if you have them, not a v skirt+prossy top+sw cape.

Dont ever do wolpertingers for xp. Do swamp titans

I personally dont like to use up gold charms as you barely get any xp from them.

anything but crimsons+blues are too slow to use imo.

This. At your levels, don't use golds or greens Unless You Really Want To.

99+ all 23rd March 2012 - 2496 total 13th June 2012.

9000+ dragon drops! Including draconic visage, d chains, d spears, d2h, d claws, d meds, d legs, d skirts... d bones, d hides :)?

w85p2012-1.png

I want jagex to put resource dungeons and dungeoneering skill doors to dungeoneering floors so I can dungeon and get dungeoneering xp while I dg so I don't have to dg to get dg exp, but I can dg while I dg :)?

Alrighty. Brilliant, thanks for the advice! I'll probably keep to the blues and crims then, looking at it, greens are really horrendous price for the exp they produce, and golds will just take time up for not much exp. :D
