October 27, 201015 yr Well, I have a strange problem that frequently happens to me while playing Runescape...more specifically while dungeoneering. After dunging for say...30-40 minutes, I start lagging extremely bad when ever something within my sight become red bar and is dieing. It's not like server lag, or connection error. It's like video lag, where it seems like my FPS goes down to...0.5 per second..... It also happens when I personally die as well, only it lasts a lot longer...since the red bar is still over my head when I spawn in the start room.I'd love to get this fixed, it's a huge annoyance and has killed me quiet a few times....just tonight I died on Night-gazer because of it...because we had just finished the first form, so that made me lag. I've restarted my computer, played around with the graphic settings, reinstalled and updated Java, and even tried a game booster program....but it still happens.I use Google Chrome. Any ideas? October 27, 201015 yr If switching browsers doesn't do it, I'd find Jagex's folder on your computer (search for it, I use Linux so I'm not sure where Windows puts it) and delete it so you can download everything fresh. This. And also, I'd recommend downloading their client (it's just a small one); theoretically, it should be the client to run RuneScape the best. Interesting subject, actually... wonder if it is.
October 27, 201015 yr Google Chrome - theres you problem. Its looks nice et but its buggy as heck and has known issues with running java. I've used chrome while playing runescape for quite some time now and have never had these issues the op is having. I would suggest clearing the jagex cache so everything in the game loads fresh. If that doesn't work then try the new browser.

Thats what makes chrome so marvelous it never does the same thing for two different users. But it does have java issues, some people never see them others plain can't use java. Some get java but it bugs out. etc. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
October 27, 201015 yr Thats odd. Straying from the subject I downloaded the new internet explorer beta and it wouldn't even load runescape. I assume the best browser would be the client but I dislike not having tabs, which is why I went with chrome. What browser do you use Sy?
October 28, 201015 yr Ive had problems with Java and chrome too. Most of the time nothing with Java will even load, like the RS game screen just stays black forever. I use FF to play rs.
October 28, 201015 yr I had numerous graphical lag problems while playing the game, including the one you have, occasionally. Though it didn't last nearly as long, only about 5 seconds. But i recognize it because when a monster spawned near me, it had the red health bar over it's head from when it had died. But, i solved it and more by just using the client instead. I tried every browser i could get my hands on, but none of them worked well. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
October 28, 201015 yr I use Firefox for RS, because I found it lagged too much, even though Chrome seems to be much faster for general browsing.
November 3, 201015 yr Author Bump  Ok, so I tried the RS client straight from the Runescape site, and I still had this happen to me....any other thoughts? Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
